This album is a fantastic achievement, it is a team effort which has really brought out the best of Keith Emerson, Marc Bonilla and the contributing musicians. The enthusiasm shown on the DVD is great and I can only hope that a UK tour is on the horizon. £10 very well spent.

I have been a Toby Keith fan a few years now and love all his recent albums but this has go to be his best yet. Brilliant start to cd with the uptempo That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy and the ballads are great too.

I first heard this record at a friends house. I was completely blown away. I went straight to the first record store and bought it. Since then it became my favorite Jazz album of all times, and has put Keith Jarret, in my opinion, on the top of the world's greatest piano players. I've been a fan ever since and bought every single live album he has released. They are all amazing, but there's no love like the first one. No record collection will be complete without it.

This was the first opera I ever saw live, during its initial London run a few months after the Aldeburgh premiere. I still carry vivid memories of that evening as a magical experience. And magic certainly lies at the heart of this entrancing (almost literally) piece. From the sounds of the forest breathing in the opening string glissandos to the fairies' glittering benediction on Duke Theseus house at the end, Britten conjures a wonderful array of colours and pictures from his relatively modest orchestra. Each group of characters is given its own distinctive orchestral palette - strings with woodwinds predominate for the Lovers, the trombone fills in its fatter, comical tones when the Rustics appear, horns add a touch of regality for Theseus' ... This is brilliant ! See What A Morning , Speak O Lord , Oh Church Arise , Beneath The Cross of Jesus , The Power Of The Cross and In Christ Alone and Accross The Land are meaningful & inspiring modern hymns . The truths that they express about the timeless love of God & how Christians must let that be reflected in their lives by following Christ are just amazing! The tunes are very good & they are sung to perfection by Mrs Getty . This music has been a great source of inspiration to me when one feels that ones faith is under pressure as it reminds me that we can reach out to a God who loves us so much that he sacrificed his son to redeem sinners . Arvo Part's "Tabula Rasa" is an absolutely astonishing piece of music. It is part prayer, a part meditation and a part love letter, burning with passion and sufferring. It is at the same time filled with yearning and longing for a higher state of being and every listening puts my mind in a very unique, spiritual and meditative state. I can't recommend this CD more, for the perfromances on it are all absolutely astounding, especially the live recording of the title track, with its sounds of the audience and the resonances from the hall where it was recorded. Its like a piece of music made in heaven and completely transcends our normal mundane experiences........

I've been waiting for ages for this CD to come out, because you know that they kept putting back the dates. It finlly has come out around my birthday so my nan bought it for me, and boy it was worth the wait. He has a lovely singing voice, with his wee accent. I have only heard of a few songs from this CD however I know I'll be familiar to them now thank to Keith Jack. Well done Keith, keep up the hard work.

Apparantly this concert had sound difficulties for the players and it was very hot. In true professional manner they pulled off an amazing concert. We have come to expect a very very high standard from this trio. Encapsulated in here is a mini history of jazz piano with nods at Fats Waller, Thelonius Monk and Bill Evans, maybe even Bud Powell and Art tatum. The few standards that have been done before on other trio albums are given different treatments here so don't bring any pre conceptions here, they work well in these newer workings. The stride like piano pieces alla fats waller are fun and show these guys can do it straight too and still make their own inimitable mark on the music. I found the drumming of Dejohnette wholly appropriate in these settings ... Read More:
