This is one of the most savage, intense thrash/death metal albums ever recorded. Like a hateful, twisted version of 'Reign in Blood'-era Slayer, this record is also notable for having been a big influence on early Sepultura records like 'Schizophrenia' and 'Beneath the Remains'. The vocals are vicious, feral barks of raw power, the guitars buzz and grate like the fires of hell and the drums are frenetic and thunderous. The production isn't great, but in a funny sort of way this enhances the music, as it makes it more raw and aggressive sounding. Buy this now if you are a fan of Slayer, old-style Sepultura or Morbid Angel, and get headbanging to some vintage ferocious German thrash!!

Classic riff tastic Kreator fodder. There's some properly heavy stuff going on in this album, serious riffing, and by god Mille's voice even sounds great. Violent Revolution was a lovely little tempter, giving us the hope that Kreator were returning to Coma/Extreme days. Well here it is my heavy metal hamsters, back to the glory days.
There are some very melodic pieces in this album, but it just enhances the heaviness. Murder Fantasies is not one of my wife's favourite songs....we were lying in a hotel room in Amsterdam late at night, I was listening to this on my headphones, and all my wife could hear in the darkness was the constant mantra, "I want to kill you, I want to kill you, I want to kill you."
It took her a while to see the funny ... Read More:

3.Terrible Certainty by: Kreator

Music : Terrible Certainty
In my eyes Slayer's Reign in Blood was the best thrash album, Civilised Society's Scrap Metal was the best hardcore album and this is the best Death Metal Album. Kreator singer was once described by Kerrang as someone singing with a cheese grater in his throat so I went and bought my first ep. After collecting them all Terrible Certainty comes out top. It still has the aggression leaving you with a very sore neck. One of Us is by far my favourite and 15 years on its still a well loved album.

I dont know why alot of Kreator fans dont rate this album. Its easily as good as any metal album you'll find. Songs like Black Sunrise and Outcast are amongst the best Kreator have ever done. They are undeniably heavy and their ability to knock out a killer riff remains undiminished.

I think the difference is that this album is not played at a gazillion miles per hour like their landmark earlier albums and some of the diehard fans dont like this and the more melodic sensibility combined with a greater songwriting maturity the band display here.

However, if you like hard and heavy metal, with bludgeoning riffs, plenty of change of pace and a good variety of songs this is for you. There are very few true metal albums to beat it.

Kreator kick ass, sadly this album doesn't.
The only similarity it has with megadeth is the first songs guitar style is similar to symphony of destruction from countdown (1991)other than that.. nothing. No Rust in Peace sound alikes, no so far so good sound alikes, i brought this album purly because i am collecting kreator and i want my collection complete, i got this next though instead of 'violent revolution' (which i hope is better than this) purly on the review below, the review below is crap! Personally i'd say if your getting into kreator and you're a fan, then EVENTUALLY get this album yes, you have to stay true and buy 'em all but for gods sake don't get it first or second or third....or 4th or 5th or 6th...
Its not the worse album, ... Read More:

Kreator are so Metal it's almost painful, but I mean that in a good way, not a bad, Manowar, just-look-at-those-idiots kind of way. In their long and reasonably successful career, I believe that this is their finest album, and they've put a few out over the years. The riffs are, as you'd expect from Kreator, superb. Quite intricate and very fast, this is the kind of music that is designed to make you bang your head to it, and it does that job just perfectly. As is par for the course with this band, Mille can't sing to save his life, and Ventor has a tendency to get a bit over-excited behind the drumkit, but it doesn't matter. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts, and in this case, the whole is Thrash Metal near-perfection. When you've got songs ... Read More:

8.Violent Revolution by: Kreator

Music : Violent Revolution
I bought this album after hearing the title track. And I'm glad I did! This is one of the best thrash/speed metal albums I've ever heard. If you like bands such as Slayer, Sepultura and fellow country men Sodom, you'll love this.

Every song is good with the possible exception of Replicas of Life which I find a bit too slow for my liking.
I'd say the best songs are Reconquering the Throne, Violent Revolution and All of the same Blood.
If you like your music fast and heavy, or if your looking for a cure to all these pop-metal bands such as Linkin Park, I advise you to buy this now.
