What an opener - listen to 'Get Innocuous' as loud as you can! And the album keeps the standard up throughout - 'Us v them' being another pinnacle. A classic.

The proof of an album like this is whether everybody at a party can get into it, regardless of their musical upbringing. If you look at this critically, yes it's repetitive, it's very under-produced, and its lyrical content is shallow. But stick it on in the background while doing something else (party, gym, work) and it keeps you upright and awake, and that's exactly what I bought it for.

Well not really. Part one is really just a short introduction. Not really brilliant but a good addition to this piece. Part two stands out, soulful vocals and nice looped piano. Really quite mellow. Part three involves a lot more electronic instruments and includes some good bleeps and noises. Part four really builds on part three addidng funky electric piano and more synthersisers and some psychedelic vocals and nice bass. Part five is up tempo with lots of hi hats low vocoder parts and some nice brass. Part six brings it right back down and is really mellow with chimes and soft chords. A pretty good track to listen to that really builds up then comes right back down. Good work but nothing thats going to be called classic. ... Read More:

This Fabric mix is great. I find most mix albums a bit boring these days and don't tend to bother with many of them. There's not much in the way of clever mixing, but this has got a great selection of tracks and your life will be better once you own it.

Like I said, this is a "Don't You Want Me Baby" for the 21st century. And if that doesn't do it for you maybe the Carl Craig mix of "Sound of Silver" will. The video's a winner as well.

This album is unreal - why - because it is simply the best fusion of dance, rock n roll, electro, beat poetry and drug induced riot you will ever hear. If you take the appalling 'Never as Tired...' off the album , you are left with ten truly great tracks and a couple of masterpieces in the form of "Yr City's a Sucker' and 'Losing My Edge'. You know how great the singles are, ...My House and Beat Connection, and you know that Murphy is one ugly fu..er. But he has a beautiful heart, and a wicked and twisted mind that slays media wannabees and musico-bores (like Chris Morris with a turntable and mic).
