Well this is my first review on anything,so it must count for something. I got this last week and must off played it at least 6 times in the car. It's a joy to drive ! Thank you Classic FM for introducing me to this excellent album,and thank you to the honest reviews from the customers who had the sense to buy it. The tunes are all different,not as some say the same,they grow on you. A tune has been going through my head all afternoon and is as I type! I'm not complaining. The only problem I have now is deciding what to get next.

just beautiful, some melodies are so simple but so moving, they make you cry, others just clear your mind and refresh your soul, I even use it for stress management and relaxation classes

This CD is the most boring amateur music I have heard in a long while. The cheesy and predictable melodies sound like a GCSE composition recorded by a school pupil. 10 minutes of listening and I wanted to tear my hair out! A definite miss.

As a professional concert pianist for the last thirty years or so, it was a great relief to find that they have released everything you need on 2 CDs. Sure enough, since I bought it I have been able to discard the 1000 or so CDs that I had collected of performers like Cortot, Horowitz, Rachmaninoff and Schnabel (and I now have enough room for a pool table!). They are simply not necessary when you have these two CDs.

This disc exudes real pleasure and it is perfect for relaxing with an intimate friend. It is akin to a beautiful wild rose; soft and smooth as velvet, free willed and occasionally daring.

Absolutely beautiful! I was first interested by Einaudi's work after hearing Dietro Casa in the concluding scenes of This Is England. Waited a couple of minutes and the credits revealed the artist and song. I haven't stopped listening to his work since. I am gutted to realise that he has recently been to the Royal Albert Hall, and that i missed it. Here's hoping for a hasty return to England...

Each of the cds has a different theme but they are all very relaxing, evocative, moving pieces of music, mostly piano. Just imagine yourself lying back in a candlelit room (perhaps with a glass of wine in your hand)and let the music wash over you and let your mind wander. This selection is a wonderful addition to any music collection.

Einaudi is a unique talent and this is his best CD to date. Joined this time by The David Quartet, Einaudi perfects his clever and powerful melodies which he fills with emotion even in his minimalist pieces. This music has the unique quality of making the listener yearn for the very next phrase, as the piece progresses Some of the pieces like Nefeli and Yerevan you will probably recognise from television and advertising. The tracks are not instant-this is not a disposable pop album. Instead these tracks are exceptionally well composed and beatufully arranged which came from the labour of a perfectionist. When I first heard this I couldn't stop listening to 'Laissez moi en paix' it is just fabulous, it very gently uplifts you with simple, beautiful harmony. The rest of the CD is very nice too, its quite a mixture with bits of gentle jazz and even some renaissance classical undertones in places. Ludovico Einaudi and Ballake Sissoko describe themselves as friends who made each other a gift of their music and I think this attitude really resonates in the harmonies - it's friendly and very beautiful.

A few of the tracks on this CD are perfect, beautiful, soft, mesmerising and something Mummy could enjoy too... but I found the majority of tracks incredibly depressing - and thats not what you need after having a baby!!! I wish I'd paid more attention to the track listing and bought something else...
