Before Confessions, Before Hung Up, before the glitter and glam of Music and way before Kylie put on her gold Hot pants, Madonna flirted with disco and gave us one of her campest videos to date. The single was released from the album Erotica in a phase many now refer to as the Sex book era (the naughty book she released that shoved two fingers up at the establishment). It was released in late 1992 as a welcome break to all the controversy surrounding the Sex book, Erotica album and single video. Its classic Madonna, in it she plays a character called Dita who revels the night away on the town in gay clubs of L.A. Hollywood is one of Madonna's best ever songs and the remixes are also excellent, as most Madonna remixes are. The single charted at #2 in the UK, but failed to chart in the US... The tracks are all remixes of Hollywood: Radio Edit Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duck Mix The Micronauts Remix Oakenfold Full Remix Deepsky's Home Sweet Home Vocal Remix Calderone and Quayle Glam Mix All remixes are great, even the Calderone one which is better than most remixes he ever produced, but my favourites are the remixes by Oakenfold and Deepsky. Madonna comes back with another pop smash hit from her "Music" album. The song is perfect and very emotional - the tune is sweet and the lyrics are meaningful. This US Maxi-Single comes with a package of excellent dance re-mixes - something Madonna's always been good at - and a Spanish version of the song, which has never appeared on UK release. If you don't like the album version of the song, then get the CD just because of the Above & Beyond Club mix which is fantastic! EnJoy! Adam.

Not only is this song from my solely liked Madonna record "Bedtime Stories" but it also is produced and has chorus vocals by the legendary Quiet Storm R&B producer Babyface. You could go so wrong with these two different artists collaborating but it is a testament to both of their flexibilities musically that this song is a great success. It isn't a typical ballad and although there are better Slow R&B jams on the album (i.e. "Love Tried To Welcome Me") it is one of my favourites. I would only buy this single as a collectible as you could try the album for about the same price now anyway, either way get it.

This song was released a few years ago but since the singers incredible Drowned World tour this year, it has a whole new meaning. This song opened the show and what an entrance it was. Sung beautifully it goes to show that Madonna is a women of incredible talent and to sing a song like this just emphasises it. Surely one of the best songs from her amazing Ray of Light album

The song with it's dark opening about madonna's past and about her duaghter, jumps Straight into an huge dance banging thumping beat, one of madonna's best dance tunes since the single RAY OF LIGHT This version of the single comes in a digi pack and is an ep version u.s.a maxi single, with some excellent mixes (9 in total) a good collecters item for any madonna fan, as only a limited amount are made. Rating 10 out of 10

Having recently heard Madonna's new album "Confessions On A Dancefloor", it's amazing to see how much she's come full circle. 25 years on from the genesis of many of these songs and she's still selling herself to dance-music lovers. That's no real surprise, seeing as she began her career as a dance music star, which remains her strong card today. There are 9 songs on this CD in total, 4 of which- Everybody '81, Stay, Ain't No Big Deal '81 and Don't You Know- come from her original demo tape that she made with Stephen Bray. Of course, the legend goes that Everybody was so well loved that it led immediately to her signing a record deal with Sire. As these songs are demos, they have not really stood the test of time ...
