Overall I'm not impressed by this album. She is 50 and this cd is as embarrassing as Prince Charles wearing baseball caps backwards and trying to speak like a rude-boi. She should take a cue from U2 who gave up trying to be whacky after their Zooropa and Pop cds; went back to their roots and quite frankly sounded much better. She can do a brilliant ballard, why doesn't she include some of those and leave the rnb for the hoody wearing teenagers.

I bought Madonna's two underrated albums on the same day -"Erotica" and "You Can Dance". I thought that "Erotica" was alot better and as a result, I didn't really play this CD that much. However, now I am addicted to this fantastic remix CD, which faetures mixes of Madonna's best, most loved and most popular hits of the 80s from her first 3 albums. "Spotlight" is a great track, released on no other. "Holiday" has an 12" mix plus a dub mix. The dub mix flows nicely, as the 12" mix was changed only slightly. "Everybody" has a 12" mix, which, again, is very good! "Physical Attraction", besides "Spotlight", is my favourite track on the whole disc aswell as the remix for: "Into The Groove" which is completely original and great! (Another favourite) ... this version is by far the best. the mixes are a lot better than the ones on the uk release, and as usual there are more of them. the peter loves paris mix is my favourite. but they are all great. love it man, love it. if this is anything to go by, i cant wait for the next single, give it 2 me.

This is a review of the sound track; however I must mention of what where the music comes from. The movie would have probably not been made if Madonna were not part of it. There were many great additions to the movie that paralleled the real events surrounding the life of Evita, especially the portrayal of the Navel Cadets' uprising. The new lyrics fit in well also. I can understand some license taken when converting from stage to the big screen. I can even tolerate that Madonna usurped the "An Other Suitcase" song which deviated from the story so she could be the object of attention. However she does not have the range or stamina to sing such major songs as "Don't Cry for Me", being the major reason for purchasing this CD. I would have to say save your money.

You have to hand it to Madonna, she's a marketing genius! Proving once again that what you lose on the swings you gain on the round-a-bouts, this "Girlie Show" inspired maxi-single serves up 8 mouth-wateringly delicious remixes, all of which re-interpret the pomp and pageantry of "Give It To Me" in a completely different way! You would be hard-pushed not to find something to your liking here! Detractors will find fault, of course, but you don't last 25 years in the harsh music industry without learning a thing or two about how to please your audience and corner the market! An astute business move indeed!

Well, Remixed & Revisited got released after the commercial flop that was American Life in an attempt rescue Madonna somewhat. The remixes are good, although I think a studio recorded version of the MTV performance would have been loads better, because Britney is out sung by Xtina. It seems that Madonna may be heading in a rock direction, what with some good rock remixes here and Your Honesty is a good track too. Something that is debatable here is the Gap ad song, in places it sounds like there's 3 people singing the song, an 80s era Madge, Missy and the Madge of the Noughties. It does sound a little slaughtered compared to the fabulous 'Into The Groove' and it doesn't really sound right on an audio version. This could have been made better on a DVD audio release, ... I love Madonna's music. Even though she changes direction so often with both her sound and image,I ALWAYS buy her album without even reading reviews or listening to previews because I can almost GURANTEE I will love it(and you shouldn't listen to reviews all the time because the critics seemed to hate American life,but I personally think it is some of Madonna's best and most personal work). And despite owning ALL of Madonna's albums... I am NOT a crazy Madonna fan,who just blindly worships her like some idol. I don't think she has anything close to one of the 'best' or 'strongest' voices in the music industry but I do think she has an incredibly versatile voice that seems to suit whatever she sings well. I am always hesitant about buying a live cd, because most of the time the sound isnt always good. I am so happy I took I chance with this cd! The choice of songs and the sound is outstanding! I wish I could have been there! American Life is my favourite Madonna song - and it rocks on this album, it even sounds better than the original! The documentary is interesting, and worth watching to see the live bits of the concert! Really enjoyed this one!!!

Having liked most of Madonna's work up untill this album. I was blown away by the complete change of direction. I think this features some of her strongest songs and some of the best production of her career. The albums following this all gained much higher sales and acclaim but this is her forgotten masterpiece.

In my opinion most of the music in Madonna's long career has been extremely unremarkable. Poor productions of poor songs. Until suddenly this weird high point with two fabulous songs: 'erotica' and 'justify my love', and their hot, glamorous, cheeky accompanying videos and maxi-singles. The songs are dark, sleek, sensual, electric, human; they have desire, confidence, heat, need, funk. Here are all versions of erotica, and all of similar lengths. There is no stand-out mix:the interest is in the variety. The whole maxi-single stands just under 40 mins, and is far better value than the LP of the same name, where 'erotica' was far and away the stand-out track.
