After 7 years of pushing musical boundaries, Ms Ciccone brought us this Benny Hill-esque little number. Taken from the "I'm Breathless" album, it provided fans with one of the highlights of her Blonde Ambition tour of 1990, with its double entendre's and sexy dance moves. It's a naughty tale of a naughty girl wanting to get spanked by her lover, Dick. The song has a 50's musical feel to it and was like nothing Madonna has every done. It's cheeky sassy and ironic all in one. Madonna again shows women in the driving seat and becoming sexually in control (no change there then). This No 2 track really is one for any true fan to experience yet another style that Madonna can do effortlessly.

Love this song it's a great dance track should have been a #1 but it only got to #7 in the uk charts taken from the album confessions on a dance floor or get her live album confessions tour with a dvd! 10/10 must buy!

How amazing! How out there! How fab is the ever reinventive Mrs Ritchie? Well, actually no, she is none of these things!! She of the Minnie Mouse vocal chords and limited musical talent (if she has any at all, lets face it!) has discovered that 20 years after the fact the general public have forgotten late 1970s Italian disco producer Girogio Moroder and so the exploitative witch beautiffully rips him and we the masses right off - AGAIN! The Empress' new clothes horse is also all Eastern Mystic here, how quaint? Quite gross really! 'cos you know she don't mean it! Someone put this manipulative old cow to sleep, please!

This is probably the least known Madonna single and also one of her smallest british hits to date since it managed to spend just 2 weeks in the charts (other singles which spent 2 or less weeks in the charts include only Everybody, Burning Up and One More Chance).It still managed to go Top 10 though getting up to No 7.The single itself sounds like a summary of the Evita stuff. The title track is an average classy ballad which could easily pass unnoticed so the real highlights are the b-sides:the infamous club version of "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" and the stunning "You Must Love Me".By the way there is also a second version of the title track which is called "Hello And Goodbye"

Hollywood is one of Madonna's best ever songs and the remixes are also excellent, as most Madonna remixes are. The single charted at #2 in the UK, but failed to chart in the US... The tracks are all remixes of Hollywood: Radio Edit Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duck Mix The Micronauts Remix Oakenfold Full Remix Deepsky's Home Sweet Home Vocal Remix Calderone and Quayle Glam Mix All remixes are great, even the Calderone one which is better than most remixes he ever produced, but my favourites are the remixes by Oakenfold and Deepsky.
