need i say more...a legendary album and it was the first album of hers i purchased(nearly 10 years ago)and it really got me into her music. all tracks are 10/10 it is fantastic along with-true blue,like a prayer,hard candy,Confessions,American Life,and the amazing erotica...:) love this album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is definitely better than Ray of Light and is a stunning album to listen to,a fabulous all rounder. Hollywood is one of Madonna's best ever songs and the remixes are also excellent, as most Madonna remixes are. The single charted at #2 in the UK, but failed to chart in the US... The tracks are all remixes of Hollywood: Radio Edit Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duck Mix The Micronauts Remix Oakenfold Full Remix Deepsky's Home Sweet Home Vocal Remix Calderone and Quayle Glam Mix All remixes are great, even the Calderone one which is better than most remixes he ever produced, but my favourites are the remixes by Oakenfold and Deepsky. In my opinion most of the music in Madonna's long career has been extremely unremarkable. Poor productions of poor songs. Until suddenly this weird high point with two fabulous songs: 'erotica' and 'justify my love', and their hot, glamorous, cheeky accompanying videos and maxi-singles. The songs are dark, sleek, sensual, electric, human; they have desire, confidence, heat, need, funk. Here are all versions of erotica, and all of similar lengths. There is no stand-out mix:the interest is in the variety. The whole maxi-single stands just under 40 mins, and is far better value than the LP of the same name, where 'erotica' was far and away the stand-out track. ...it seems some people (embittered Westlife fans, probably) are getting their noses put out of joint because Madonna has returned to conquer the world once again, and is deservedly being showered with praise and adulation. Bad luck for you, but great news for everyone who likes talented, innovative, thrilling artists with style and a sense of fun. I've no doubt Abba will live forever, but Madonna will live forever and a day.
