Last night is a fantastic album in the typical style of Moby.
These tracks are reproducing 70's and 80' as Moby wrote in the introduction.
Classic disco style, the same as Moby created in his early career.
(Sorry for my English)

I prefer it for everybody who love Moby or who don't know Moby but love old disco hits.

Best wishes,

Kuzma from Hungary

Some of Mobys' earlier work dates quite badly. This is not the case with Play it sounds just as fresh as it did all those years ago. This recording is like nothing you've heard before with chilling vocals and superb synths. When this came out it was like someone lit a fuse it seemed new people were "getting it" every week and it was THE album of the summer. You can listen to it now and it's just as moving as it always was. This will not date...

Reasonable summary of the best of Moby. Some key tracks missing, and some others remixed annoyingly. But overall am pleased with the album.

I'm a pretty big fan of Moby but I have never really got on with this album. It's almost as if he picked his favourite part of Play (the end Gospel bit) and stayed there. The result is an album that doesn't go anywhere and has none of the dynamism of earlier work. No matter how many times I listen I find it depressing and hard to enjoy. A real shame.

This isn't consistently brilliant like Play or consistently good like 18, but it does have some simply outstanding material on it. The opening Hymm, for exapmple, and Into the Blue, God Moving Over the Face of the Waters and When it's Cold I like to Die. Those are the dreamy, whistful spacey ones. Also exceptional is Everytime You Touch Me, and I don't usually like that sort of thumping club music. It's tracks like All That I Need is to be Loved that I don't like. I find them discordant and jarring.

I agree with the presvious review I'm afraid to say. I love the Bourne Trilogy and the soundtracks have been excellent previously, so unless you are looking for a genuine article to add to your collection then visit an online music store and buy the track. It is a good track though!! :o)

For lovers of older Moby, those album obviously comes as a shock - the songs don't have quite the same Moby feel to them. Nevertheless, I absolutely love this album. Admittedly, it's taken a bit of getting used to (mostly due to my stubborn refusal to listen to it now that Lift Me Up has become so popular) but once you really sit down and listen to it, the musical genius that is Moby really shines through. The only tracks that don't really agree with me are Lift Me Up (predominantly due to its popularity!) and Beautiful, most likely because they sound too "mainstream" and I prefer more quirky, alternative sounds. My absolute favourites would be I Like It (bit sexy), Slipping Away and Forever. These three really are beautifully handcrafted songs, which is ... Read More:

Having always been a fan of Moby's earlier productions, it was nice to see he's best of album getting the remixed treatment, to bring it bang up to date with today's sounds. And it's a good job. The remixes in question really do vary, and will satisfy many fans of different genres. Whether it the trance sound of Ferry Corsten, or the housier sound of Mylo and Sandy Rivera, there really is something for everyone.

The good tracks are very good, moby in classic form. The rest are fairly humdrum film tracks.

If your a fan however "Novio", "God Moving Over the Face of the Waters" and "New Dawn Fades" makes it worth buying on their own.
