Music : Plug In Baby - CD1
This single makes the rest of the 'indie' scene look lifeless, devoid of inspiration and passion. If only the standard of commercially viable 'indie / alt rock was as good. But then again, who am I kidding??? Buy it. If it doesn't have the tingles going up and down your spine and make you get that excited 'I feel like jumping up and down like a complete loon' kind of feeling, I don't know what will. Brings back my long gone faith in Indie music.

'Unintended' it a top tune of 2000. It didn't enter the charts at number 1, but let's face it, not everyone has a good taste in music like you and I! Muses new release, 'Muscle Museum' has a lot to live up to, but any music they produce is bound to be class.

Music : Red Heaven
Tanya Donelly's departure really did leave a hole in the Throwing Muses albums from thereon but they were still worth getting excited about even if it meant no Tanya songs. Red Heaven won't hit you immediately but on repeated listenings, everything unravels and what you have is a rock album swivelling with a lot of songs running on pure spite and of course, the tint of surrealness (Carnival Wig).

Music : Cave [CD 2]
This is most definitely the best song off Muse's debut 'Showbiz' -the music is hard and melodic and the lyrics are excellent too. Obviously there is comparisons between Muse and Radiohead as Muse sound quite a bit like Pablo Honey/The Bends-era Radiohead. But Muse are a good band in their own right who can produce top quality songs like 'Cave' and other gems from the album like 'Sunburn', 'Uno' and 'Muscle Museum'. Although the album 'Showbiz' is a little inconsistent and flawed, its only their debut and from the evidence of 'Cave', they certainly have the ability to improve greatly.

Music : Absolution [VINYL]
First Off, a statement: with 'ABSOLUTION' Muse have risen-glided- even to a level that might seriously and honestly be labelled brilliance, and this their 3rd studio album, is a work of brilliance, from evry perspective and in every sense. From nothing more than a melody or phrase borne between Matt Bellamy's ears (Bellamy being Muse's sole songwriter)to something shaped by musicians, and finally how best to translate this live song to a permanent home on a silver disc that will be bought by strangers, and this cup to lip manouvere Muse managed without spilling a drop. In fact, 'Absolution' sounds instinctively and assuredly complete that it can be listened to in 2 very different ways- either as a collection of rock songs and nothing else, or ... Read More:

Music : Hysteria
I bought this CD-Single on hearing that the B-Side steals the show, and I have to agree. It might be that I've heard Hysteria many a time, and that is by no means a bad thing! Hysteria is a hard song to beat lyrically, musically, and any other thing-ly there may be under the sun. But Eternally Missed is splendid, it starts in typical Muse fashion with a rather weird intro, a music-box being cranked up, and with the Whammy effect on guitar, the pitch is at the same as a music box would be. And the bass riff, oh the bass riff! Kicks Hysteria flying. The powerful chorus gradually builds up, and like Darkshines, solos appear after each chorus with the final one leading into the last chorus perfectly matched by Matt Bellamy's soaring vocals. If you ... Read More:

This song is very good because it can either be really happy or be a really really sad song, it depends what mood you are in. Matt's singing style is one of my favourites anyway :D
