This man speaks love and better than that,sings love like the air he breaths.This particular collection is so breathtaking especially Mona Lisa.It makes one wonder what's happened to all the realy good music these days.Nat was able to turn a simple story into something like a masterpiece and these lyrics will always remain unforgotten and live on forever......

I've been trying to think what to write about this album for the past five minutes but I just don't know how to put it. All I can say is that this is some of the most beautiful music you could ever hope to own. Of all the oldies like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, Nat King Cole has the most amazing voice and way of singing. There are about ten standout, unforgettable songs (pun intended), including "For All We Know", "Smile", "When I Fall In Love", "The Very Thought Of You", and "Unforgettable". Then of the remaining ten, seven or eight tracks are great. There are a few other faster songs that just didn't appeal to me like "Straighten Up And Fly Right" and "Ramblin' ... Read More:

Other reviews will tell you of the close links (well documented with this double disc) of the light music pieces on this splendid compilation with famous radio and television shows of the (our? certainly my)past. What they don't mention is that a lot of these recordings have simply not been available to the public, but came from music publishers catalogues and CDs (the Bosworth discs are good). The source material is superb here, the quality fantastic... These are discs to be sought and savoured. They truly do not compose or perform music like this any more.

this is a an amazeing collection by nat king cole this is the best best of collection but he has a few essential albums too like after midnight sessions and love is the thing there fab and of course his christmas album buy them all there fab!!

The combination of the great man Nat, & the man from England, ( His protege ) was a work of genious. The master (now a vocalist) and pupil as accompanying pianist. I bought this album some years ago, and the CD version remains in the glove box of my car, to soothe my savage breast, when confronting the other idiots on the road. Super music. Isn't it sad that the young people of today don't know what they are missing ?
