I really enjoyed this album. The songs are well written and catchy, with just enough virtuosity to impress the listener (without obstructing the composition). I love Strunz and Farah's work, but beautiful though their music is, I occasionally get the impression they are showing off for its own sake. Rarely did I get that from Oscar Lopez. There are only 2 moments on the album where I thought Lopez let temptation get the better of him and did something ridiculous (You will understand what I mean after listening to the album). However, its rare to find a guitarist that doesn't occasionally play to impress the fans. And the rest of the album more than compensates for the odd lapse of reason.
