... says the opening track of their new album! Well, they may be the same band, but the sound is very different to the amazing 'A fever you can't sweat out'. Pretty Odd has a more mainstream, polished feel to it - some may say that they've sold out, and have lost that uniqueness that made them so fresh and exciting just a couple of years ago, but I would say that although different, it's not necessarily a bad thing. It took me a few listens before it grew on me (but then so did the first album) but after the 3rd or 4th time, it really started to get me, and now it's a constant companion on the journey to work - its amazing! I first heard of P!atd years ago and considered buying their album...but after listening to the previews I decided to give it a pass, it didn't really seem like my thing.
