i first heard this amazing mantra whilst in the arthur findlay college in stanstead. i was instantly hooked. its meaning i believe is 'i bow to shiva' the inner being. this mantra is an inspiration, and i highly recommend it to anyone interested in self awareness.

Musically Literate Pagan Says: I bought this two years ago and I have not regretted it. The choir sings "Ancient Mother" and it is a deeply atmospheric listenable setting. I found Lady of the Flowing Waters a bit twee lyrically but it has grown on me. The rewritten lyrics for the psalm I actually find far too cliched. The Circle is Cast is gospel in style and rousing but again is lyrically twee. The real gems on this CD, and make it crucial for any pagan are the tracks recorded by genuine practicing priestess' and women shamen from around the world. Musically Literate Pagan Says: This is good stuff. The choir sing simply, letting the beauty of the chants themselves reign. The first part of Heart Of Perfect Wisdom starts fantastically with overtone chanting, bells, low tones creating a deeply atmospheric Buddhist temple atmosphere. Close your eyes and you could be there. Five minutes into the track, the music emphasis subtly shifts. The temple atmosphere fades though the bells remain and the male choir take over with their chant. A harp joins and it sounds like a fusion of Celtic sound with Buddhist peace !! The female choir then fade in around the ten minute mark and then take over with their "Heart Of Perfect Wisdom" sutra at counterpoint. The choir then basically fade in ... Read More:

First introduced to me by my yoga teacher, this CD however, is not only for those seeking spiritual enlightenment. Pop it in your car while driving and traffic seems to not bother you. It is really a relaxing piece of music. Based on a Sanskrit chant, the accompanying music and choral arrangement will delight and intrigue. Layers upon layers of character to discover. I love it and as with other Gass' works, it is brilliant!
