This is one of the only electronica albums I have bought and enjoyed from beginning to end, it just doesn't let up. Soulwax are masters of the remix, highlights for me are Klaxon's Gravity's Rainbow, Justice's Phantom Pt.II and Kylie Minogue's Can't Get You Out Of My Head... but all of them are a stroke of genius. If you want something to lift a party, get this you won't be disappointed!

...and bought turntables. I love Soulwax and am enjoying following them as they continue to mutate and try and cross-pollinate their riffy rocky stuff with their clubby tastes. But although this worked well on the album Any Minute Now here it is a bit more hit and miss. The fun/problem with Soulwax when they go electronic is figuring out where they are coming from. Are the often quite simple/basic sounds they use the result of diving deep into electronica, getting bored of a lot of it and therefore deciding on something chunky and simple? As 2 Many Dj's they sure can mix but there own music is Dreary Crap. Save your money as this is rubbish.

ever had one or two tracks that change your way of life/thinking? doesn't matter about the rest - all that matters are those tunes, that's what music is about..... if that's how you think then buy this album!

An absolutely outstanding single from "the Wax", and one of the best on their album "Much against everyone's advice". The bass is brilliant, with a mind-blowing riff. This cd is made doubly brilliant by the fantastic cover of "Poplife" which is as good as anything on the album, and worth this cd's purchase price on it's own. An absolute must for any Soulwax fan- and anyone who's never heard of them as well. Buy this cd, you won't regret it, I promise!

Soulwax have produced the two best albums of the year 2005. Any Minute now and Nite Versions are supreme pieces of perfect pop music and this is it's shining star. All the mixes here have something to offer but the nite version with LCD soundsystem's Nancy Whang providing the shouty vocal is not only excellent, but displays the boys sense of humour too, something which is all too often missing from po faced european electronica.

This is one of the best singles released off their excellent and highly praised album 'Much Against Everyone's Advice'. The single is pretty much the style that we have become accustomed to from Soulwax. A mix of fast up beat music with the occassional mellow interludes. Once again they have experimented with a range of interesting sounds through their unusual use of guitar and keyboard noises. Once again, the belgian brothers David and Stephen Dewaele have demonstarted their exceptional talents.

It's a sad world when bands are reduced to sampling 'Funky Town' by Lipps Inc, officially one of the worst songs ever, but we'll blame remixer Kawazaki for that, as the sample doesn't appear on the lead edits of 'NY Excuse'. Although he didn't really have that much to work with as said track is fairly generic electro pop with all the right Kraftwerk bleeps and doodles appearing in the right places. The DFA remix is by far the best, layering some spacerock over the top, stripping away most of the incredibly annoying Nancy Whang vocals, and leaving a dub ridden and bleak sound, far superior to its parent track. Full marks to DFA, nul points to everyone else.
