Music : Brand New Day
Sting's sixth studio CD is a big improvement on "Mercury Falling". The arrival of Kipper on the production side means this is certainly one of the best-produced albums in terms of its mix.

"After the Rain Has Fallen" has a standard rock chorus; but "Perfect Love Gone Wrong" has a female rap that interferes with the gentle jazz flow. "Fill Her Up" is a country & western/gospel hybrid that leaves me cold.

Far better is the philosophical love declared in the assured and well-written opening track, "A Thousand Years": "I may have lived a thousand lives, a thousand times | An endless turning stairway climbs | To a tower of souls". The electronic opening immediately declares this album to be different from all other previous ... Read More:

Music : After the Rain Has Fallen [CD 2]
This CD-SINGLE takes us on a magical trip through the oriental world. Sting tells us a few stories about love and its many ways. He talks about a princess living in a castle and about a beautiful "rose" that grows in the desert sand. This cd-single also includes "Shape of my Heart": a truly wonderful melody combined with powerful lyrics. I have no doubts: this is surely one of the Sting's best works! He showed us his new songs and influences but he also reminded us that his "old" works are timeless...

Music : Songs from the Labyrinth
From the outset let me say that I have always been a huge fan of Sting, and of John Dowland. But I was unsure that the two could possibly go together. Having listened to the CD several times now, I am still unsure but the idea is growing on me.

Let's face it, Sting is not the world's best vocalist, his breathy nasal voice being well-suited to ska and light jazz, but ultimately tending to be tiresome. The problem is not just his voice, but perhaps more his odd vowel sounds which have always been a little unnatural and that is very obvious here with his voice rather forward in the mix.

So my first thought was that there are many very beautiful renderings of this material by specialists like Ian Partridge and Sting's offering seemed ... Read More:

47.Send Your Love by: Sting

Music : Send Your Love
Great new single from the one and only Sting. 'Send Your Love' is from the new 'Sacred Love' album out soon, and is one of Sting's more dancable and punchier singles to date. With hints of spanish guitar, dance-like beat and slight eastern influences, Send Your Love has to be one of his best singles since 'Desert Rose'.

The video is not too bad either.

The new one from Sting is his best yet. Like always Sting delivers and delivers well.

All the die-hard Sting fans will enjoy the new diverse feel to his music this time round.

He covers so many music tastes on just one album you will not be disappointed.

I would advise any new Sting 'convert' to get this album now and see what I mean.
