Their debut was stunning - there's no denying it. Mixing power, fury and at times comic instrumentation and vocals, it was always going to be a hard album to beat. But System have done it. Toxicity is an amazing album.

For those that dismiss Toxicity as 'too commercial' or 'too mainstream'. To make accessible music that still has the power and strength that nearly all of the tracks on this CD have takes a great deal of skill. How to make music sound not only familiar but also brand apsnking new and still like it has something incredibly important to say is the sign of master songwriters. And Toxicity has all of that in bucketloads.

The melodic pain of singles Chop Suey, Toxicity and Aerials counter the deliciously ... Read More:

When everyone (including myself) got caught up in the sheer excellence of S.O.A.D's album Toxicity.. I saw this in a shop and bought it. I immediately decided that this was superior to Toxicity, but nobody else seemed to have given it a listen and/or thought that Toxicity was there first album!
But now everyone seems to have discovered this genius album and to this day i still see this as their best!

I wont go into a deep analysis of the album, but as a big system fan, this album doesnt have any staying power. At first it sounds good, but then after a few listens you realise most of the songs are dry and boring. Mezmerize on the other hand has stayed interesting. So three stars.

Although less coherent than their other albums dues to it's 'unplanned' and outtakes nature, this is still a powerful album from an outstanding band. You still get the raw riffs and lyrics, all packaged in SOAD unique style. I love this album, as I do all their music, and would say it is worth it for 'Boom' alone, just listen to the lyrics on it and be blown away. An intelligent, rockin' band, with a lot to say in as fun a way as possible. Highly recommended.

This album is proabaly my favorite by system of a down, because the songs are consistently good. 11 songs that vary so greatly and yet are all so brilliant. They are so good that eveyone could pick a different favorite, mine is sad statue its just so likable. Better than hypnotize (in my opinion) and definitely worth buying!

It really is a shame to see this band in such a state. What happened to them on those last two albums? Everything that was right about their first three albums just went so drastically wrong, by their standards, on Mezmerize and Hypnotize. And then, of course, came this EP. I don't think I could have been more disappointed by a choice in single. It doesn't tell a new listener anything about System of a Down - only a whole lot about Daron Malakian and how utterly irritating his voice is.

Admittedly, the other tracks on this EP are rather brilliant. The cover of Snowblind is a rare treat, considering their lack of recorded cover songs, as is the track "Shame" which is, certainly, an usual collaboration. But on the whole, this single, along with ... Read More:

This dvd is a fake it is a exact copy the the SYSTEM OF A DOWN "PSYCHO MESSIAHS" which is also a waste of time and money, i am very dissapointed beause i have purchased both dvds and thought that this dvd "falling between the cracks" wud be much better but to my suprise when i put the dvd in it even came up with the same title menue saying "psycho messiahs" i though it was a joke so i started watching it and it is exactly the same but amazon have decribed the dvds being 5 years apart from each other but some crafty person is just cashing in so beware do not buy it.

I'm presuming if you're here, reading this, you've already heard the track 'Toxicity'. Well, there wouldn't be any point buying it if you didn't like it, now would there?

But if you're wondering why you should buy the single if you already have the album, I have two words for you. They would be 'Metro' and 'Marmelade'. These two tracks aren't on the albums, but are as excellent as anything SOAD have ever done.

'Metro' is a personal favourite of mine. Don't be put off by the knowledge that it's a cover version of a song by '80's band Berlin (as in 'take my breath away' fame). You would never guess in a million years. Serj shows off his superb vocal range, singing like a sweetheart, demon and total mental case in turn! Daron's mad guitar riffs never ... Read More:

Music : Hypnotize
This is the best album which has come out in the year 2005. This definitely is not for the faint hearted. Definitely not for oasis fans... definitely not for robbie williams fans... musically perfect... in fact mesmmerize and hypnotize are the albums where the drummer shines... and the vocals harmonize perfectly... musically very very mature... and worth all your money...
