What can you say about this album, except that it is a real musical masterpiece! I've been a Damned fan since i was 15, and all I can say this is really a classic Damned album in all it's glory! We have waited for 7 long years for this album - but it was definitely worth it! For the fans of The Strawberries and Black album, but also Phantasmagoria, Anything and Grave Disorder! Don't think about it, just buy it!!!

This is the Damned album that all fans should have especially if they are more into the old styles of Punk with more resmblance to that of The Clash and Sham 69 to name a couple, which is definitley more to my liking. With great songs like New Rose,Smash it up, Neat Neat Neat and Love Song that break through into your head like a demon that just won't go away.Great guitar work and vocals that help echo the words "Pure Punk" and it is nothing less...The Damned hepled bring Classic Punk kicking and screaming into many peoples lives, and this double Cd covering probably the best years of this fantastic band is a definite Must Buy for the "Punk Obsessed".

The Damned are without doubt one of the best bands to come out of the original punk movement. This is because they knew how to write great songs, from Brian James raw writing on the first 2 albums through the brilliant Machine Gun Etiquette, The Black Album and Strawberries where Captain's influence comes to the fore. On Strawberries, The Damned seemed to be at a songwriting peak and found many new fans. There really isn't a bad song on the album, maybe songs that the fans wanting a harder sound may have found too soft but for those there are songs like Ignite. However, the brilliance of songs like Stranger On The Town, Gun Fury, Badtime For Bonzo and Under The Floor Again make this album one of their best. Not as raw as Damned Damned Damned or the ... The Damned are back on form, there's some great material on this album From the highly addictive 'song.com' to the dark 'beauty of the beast' there's no filler in this album. Go buy it!!!!!!

If you are a music fan buy The Black Album. To me its still the best album in my record collection which stetches back over 3 decades. Still play it regularly despite owning it since release. the Damned are still touring, go and seen them they are a class act.

When it comes to punk albums there's none better, when it comes to daft punk albums then the Damned's Machine Gun Etiquette is special. I now own this album on vinyl,cassette, CD and 25th Anniversary CD, I can't get enough of it. From Love Song launching the album through to Plan 9, Channel 7 and ending with Smash It Up parts 1 and 2 every track is a real classic. I recently saw the Damned live at the Nottm Rock City (my favourite venue) and they played just about every track from Machine Gun Etiquette which highlighted the importance of this album to the band. Once you have heard this you will be hooked, go on buy it and be happy forever.

Quality band. Quality album. New Rose, Neat Neat Neat, etc. Carlsberg don't make Punk Albums, but if they did, this would be it. Possibly the greatest LP commited to vinyl (or CD as it's called nowadays). The Damned were the first and the best Punk band. Play it LOUD at your sister.....or anyone else!

Well, three and a half stars really! Cast your mind back... 1985, the Damned were mainstream,(kind of). 1986, a 10th anniversary and an album, "Anything", then it went a bit quiet... Alright so when the mortgage repayments were due they'd do another reunion/farewell gig every so often and there was the occasional feeble compilation album but new material? 'Fraid not. Until, in 1996 "I'm Alright..." came along. This 2002 release simply has a couple of BBC sessions tacked on to the original album. Make no mistake... this is not a follow up to "Anything"! This album harks back to simpler, happier times! What we have here is, in the main, a collection of good honest punk songs.
