This is a fantastic CD, the treatment Zubin Mehta, Leonard Bernstein and Co give these works is sensational. You will not get better recordings of these pieces. To listen to the CD form start to finish is a little too much as a lot of the 78 minutes of music is uplifting to say the least. The Russian Easter Overture is an overlooked masterpiece, I have never heard played on Radio 3 or Classic FM, worth buying just for that piece alone. I would strongly recommend this to anyone interested in the works of NRK.
