A TV advertised 'greatest hits' album that somehow manages to omit two of their greatest hits: Can't Help Falling In Love and Star On A TV Show. I'm sure they'll be on the next Extremely Ultimate Very Best Of... CD due sometime soon.

Ive been a steward at the North Wales Theatre at Llandudno for over five years and have seen the Stylistics on four occasions and they are still one of the most professional and harmonious soul coloured groups in the business. I have also met them in person and was very impressed with their willingness to sign their cds this one included and pose for photographs and also have a chat with admiring fans.Some people ive met not saying any names are the direct opposite of their stage personality but the Stylistics are really pleasant guys. Although I largely agree with the above review of this album, it certainly is not the Holy Grail for fans of the Stylistics. Indeed, whilst it is the most comprehensive UK compliation yet, I do not really see who this CD is supposed to appeal to. For casual fans there have been better overviews of the Stylistics 'hit singles' career before, that have been more compact, and for fans of the band it is yet another dissapointment. I only hope that there are some decent sleeve notes and pictures of the band to make up for the sloppiness of this CD. And why exactly do I feel this way? Because this CD is not what fans of the band want. What they do want is for Polygram/Universal to get on and release the entire back catalogue on CD for the first ... Read More:
