The quality of the accompanyments and the production quality are outstanding. This is undoubtedly the best Welsh Male Voice choir recording in my collection.

it is not even good to fall asleep with. Got on my nerves and never listen to it since. There are alot better albums of prominent composers...

Yes yes, Ministry of Sound put out plenty of albums, particularly classic ones, and seem to get plenty of flack in the reviews (!), but honestly this is brilliant. I was given Anthems I for Christmas last year, and that was pretty good, but this follow up is even better. Mostly because it digs out some of the brilliant but not often seen tracks like DReam, S Express, New Order, Orbital and Billie Ray Martin. Discs 2 and 3 seem to be chronological as well, but it really is big tune after big tune, great if you buy only one dance album. Faithless, Livin Joy, Modjo (what a track!), Olive, Stardust, the list goes on. I'm lovin it! Couldn't recommend it more...i'll be getting it for people for Christmas...

Classic FM has attempted to provide the classical music version of `rock anthems' to shake your head and punch the air to, an equivalent of Rainbow's `Long Live Rock 'n' Roll' anthem of the 1970's. As my friend says "You've got all these tracks but in a different order". In this case it's only partly right but to a 60's Soul fan and a regular at the Hammersmith Palais on a Monday night this collection brings back some fabulous memories. I think that they are nearly all there. Also memories of Ready Steady Go on a Friday night which had the catchphrase "The weekend starts here".

If you want a collection of some of the best ever R&B songs, compressed into 2 CDs then this is definitely one of the best collections around. However, this is a variety of R&B from the last 15 years - so don't buy this if you're expecting the latest R&B songs to fill both CDs. Usually on a double CD you'll find a handful of "filler" songs, but this isn't the case on Chilled R&B - they're all great examples. Great music for relaxing to at the weekend and highly recommended.

Let me begin my saying that such a low price for 101 songs is great value in any case, but when around 95 of the songs are brilliant, it's bargain basement stuff. This is a wonderful collection of country music hits. It is fair to say that the majority of tracks here are from the golden age of country music, but interspersed throughout the album are a few catchy modern tracks that make the collection beautifully balanced, allowing for a smoother, less overwhelming experience for the modern listener. Many of the tracks are instantly recognisable, with all the massive hits there, "The Gambler", "9 to 5", "Always on my Mind", "Ring of Fire" to name a few.
