I've been an avid fan on the Clubland franchise since the beginning and I'm pleased to say they are back in-tune (I couldn't resist that!) with Clubland 13. There is a mixture of hard-style, fast-paced, dance floor stormers (Darren Styles, Hypasonic too name a few) all the way across the board to melodic, 135bpm soul-soothers (Chicane vs Natasha Bedingfield). Also making they're annual appearance are the dozens of remixes that, rather surprisingly, don't hinder the album at all. Some of them are just brilliant and are guaranteed to get you up and boogieing like it's 1999. This is a turn-it-up-and-annoy-the-neighbours album!

A brave move to set a period film against the backdrop of a very modern soundtrack, but in this case, it works, and very well too. Fans of the movie will love this soundtrack, but it's also just a great CD, one that should be a staple of any collection. The clever reworkings of so many old hits, El Tango de Roxanne in particular, give a new flavour to the tracks and help to up the kitsch value of the movie. Although it was a huge worldwide hit, it was certainly quirkier than most of your five-star movies, and the soundtrack is exactly the same. I'll be honest - this won't be an unbiased review. I'm guessing that most people who will purchase/consider purchasing this will be fans of Scrubs, so I am reviewing it from this perspective. I am a Scrubs fanatic, and, like the rest of my kind, I know how impressive the soundtrack has been over the years. This CD is a good collection of those songs. Obviously, the more well-known artists wouldn't have wanted their songs on this, as they are high-profile in their own right (eg/ Boston, Toto). However, Scrubs has always been a source of exciting new music for me (I don't know if the music is popular in the USA, but its certainly always been new to me). This is a top ska collection, it contains plenty of classics including a few from the godfathers of SKA music, The Specials. Defenite stand out tracks are Rat Race, Rudy, a message to you and Ghosttown. Its cheap and you get over 50 tracks to chose from, there has to be some you like in that lot!

Together with 50 songs and nursery rhymes on the first disc (CD) disc 2 (which is a DVD) has classic childrens stories, learning rhymes, action songs and learning games. We use the CD mostly in the car but it's the DVD which gets the most play in our house - the Action Songs are my little ones favorite (I'm a little teapot, Mulberry Bush and Ring Of Roses are firm favs). For the first few times my toddler simply sat a watched but after that she couldn't help but join in, and she loves to dance and move to the actions that the boys & girls do on screen. I've got most of the GU Cd's and while all are good none have compelled me to write a review until now, both the Cd's are the sort of upfront tuneful progressive I love,If you liked Shanghai (disc 1) and Paris (disc 2) you will love this!! the mixing and production are also superb and it's hard to pick a favorite disc...Enjoy !!

A well chosen selection of 26 mostly familiar pieces of orchestral music on 2Ds which, judging by the title and the album cover, is intended to make you feel good and smile. I found the choices a good mix of familiar, like Handel's Zadok the Priest, Haydn's Cello Concerto No.2 and Vivaldi's Gloria, along with slightly less familiar but equally welcome pieces such as the orchestral arrangement of David Bowie's Life on Mars and Elgar's lesser played Finale from his Enigma Variations (it will be instantly recognisable to Classic FM listeners as one of the short jingles used on their radio show).
