You could play a fully credible disco night armed with nothing more than these five cds. If a definitive chart was made of the 500 top tunes from the dance decade of 1975-1984 this set would claim an absolute minimum of 50 places. One ill informed reviewer knocks legenary weekender tunes on CD3 as fillers and bemoans the lack of Abba, Bee Gees and Dexy's Midnight Runners. It's precisely that absence which makes this such a credible set. I already owned perhaps 80 or 90 of these tracks but the purchase was well worth it for Janice Macclain's Smack Dab in the Middle and then again for the huge grin that spread across my face when I heard Wikka Wrap again for the first time in twenty years. I just can't get over how cheap this DOUBLE CD compilation is! A perfect Christmas present for my nephew!

This is a great compilation with an inspired combination of recent hits and old massive tunes. It's worth buying for the first CD alone but if, like me, you do not have all the tracks on back catologue then, at 5 CDs, it's fantastic value for money.

This CD is excellent quality for its budget price; it is very calming and creates a tranquil ambience to help you get off to sleep. Each track is pleasing and relaxing, and helps me get back to sleep again quickly when waking through the night.

Well, I think I must have a different version of this CD to the other reviewers because Cliff Richard - Faithful One has a strong Christian message e.g "I will bow down before God's only son". The first track (How Great Thou Art - Aled Jones) is worth the price of the CD on its own.

DJ Scratchy was a regular figure at Punk gigs in the late 70's. He was the DJ who introduced Reggae, Ska and Dub to the bondage trousered crowds at Clash gigs, tirelessly promoting the Jamaican sound. Here with this double CD he relaunchedhis career, and what a wonderful collection it is, with a mixture of old favourites and obscure gems. If you listen carefully, you can still feel the Punk vibe here and relive the whiff of stale beer and marijuana in the air of those grungy London clubs.

If you haven't yet seen this show but have a good sense of humour and loved watching Sesame Street, then I think you'd love Avenue Q. It is a different type of musical involving muppets with live actors on stage (who are not all dressed in black to avoid being seen). This may sound silly but it is pulled off very well since the muppets actions and expressions are duplicated by the live actor controlling them. The performance can be 'Cras' in places but if you've got a good sense of humour you should be laughing throughout. If you've seen the musical this soundtrack CD should bring back very good memories. Best Christmas album ever this replaces a tape. Although on the CD I've just bought through Amazon Jon Bon Jovi isn't a Back Door Santa, he wishes every day was Christmas!
