VoA are a melodic, symphonic and slightly gothic rock band with both male and female vocals split pretty much 50/50. I am surprised by how good this is. VoA sound a bit like early Nightwish, so if you like Oceanborn and Wishmaster, this might be for you. It's perhaps a bit more poppy and less operatic than Tuomas & Co. Trinity is also much better than VoA's earlier stuff (e.g. Cast Away). It might also be a one-off because the brilliant soprano Melissa has left the band (following her boyfriend). How she could leave a band showing this much promise I don't understand. I hope they can recover and produce more of this quality.

This is immense! Some brill songs onn here, black and bruised is the song that got me into 18v and altho i was keen on their older screaming stuff i do prefer this, it isnt as heavy as the only other album from them i hav wich is greatest hits but the best song, the aforementioned black and bruised is quite heavy and amazing. If u like gd metal then this is a gd buy, 5 stars all round to 18v, my new favourite band.

This is immense! Maybe the film could not be very good, although is acceptable. It's worth just to listen to his music while the kid is on training in Spokane. The soundtrack is really good, from start to end. Great rock, Journey, Dio, Red Rider, Foreigner,Don Henley and the masterpiece SHOUT TO THE TOP, one of the best songs by Weller (The Style Council). Play this CD on your car, you'll kill the road under your wheels! This CD is great. Don't hesitate, buy it.

prior to this release,eighteen visions were more hardcore/screamcore,the album previous to this was vanity and it was pretty different to best of and that was quite different to the heavy and furious until the ink runs out so obsession was the logical progression in the eighteen visions progression and although older fans may cry sell out obsession is still a solid album that deserves praise. the album is a very ecletic mix of riffs and ballads,there isnt too much of james harts legendary screams but it works well,songs like tower of snakes and i let go show a band that have taken melody as standard and left behind their frightening breakdowns and howls,all in all a solid effort.

19 days. That's what it took New York band Vision of Disorder to record this album, and what an album it is. "Imprint" is a true metal, East-coast style. Okay, so there are hardcore leanings, but this is most definitely a metal album, of the top flight at that. How such a masterpiece could be produced in such a short time is unbelievable. Musically, it has everything going for it: crushing guitar riffs, both complex and brutal (courtesy of Mike K and Matt Baumbach); first-rate bass work (Mike F) and absolutely incredible drumming (Brendan Cohen).
