I've only ever once before felt the need to put pen to paper to praise something unreservedly and that was a newspaper piece abouth the death of a dog by Brian Sewell. This album hit me in a similar way, cheap and potently emotional. In delivering cheap potent music efficiently Bagsy Me is unsurpassed. Normally, a slight imperfection can make something merely beautiful into something extraordinairy. Take the Australian bird I'm looking at now, by no means perfect, but oh boy is she sweetly attractive. Perfection is dull. This album is full of imperfections, but somehow they have been turned into something majestic. I have played this so many times and yet not once have I been left unsatisfied. Top notch. I have every album available (that I know of) by the Wannadies and they are all brilliant. There is no point reviewing this album, just buy it and see for yourself how good they really are.

This song has been one of my favourites for ages! its so uplifting and cheery, it always makes me happy when im feeling down. a definate 10/10!

Not as great as the preceding Bagsy Me, but still excellent,infectious power pop. The overall theme is a bit darker this time, with a few more ballad/expansive rock numbers some which work (Don't Like You/ String Song)and some which are a bit of a drag (Low Enough). The great momements still outweigh the odd dissapoinment by a considerable margin though and the likes of the Shorty a like Big Fan and the anthemic stomp of Yeah, still show the 'dies have an uncanny knack of writing infectious melodies.

Ok, yes, the Wannadies did that song that was on the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack. We all know. Not many people know that they have a career spanning 3 decades now, and that the reason they've managed to keep this alive, is by sounding damn good! This new album, already available in Scandinavia for a few months prior to the UK release, was questionable whether it was going to make it at all. Now it's here, take one listen and be hooked. The album is split into two sections ("before" and "after"), the first in the Wannadies style we come to know and love, and the latter section is more a mis match of the direction they want to be taking. i am surprised at the bad reviews of this album, i really like it, along with most of the other wannadies stuff. together sounds to me like when you meet someone really great and wonder if fate put you together, heaven follows on from this and is about how good it can be when you're in love. my home town is the highlight of the album, i never tire of this song, although i can't relate to it living in a busy town/city in england, i can imaging how par must feel about his quiet town in sweden. things you love is about keeping a lover away from their other interests so you can have them all to yourself... a slightly selfish thing to do par! but i know what you mean! how beautiful is about coming across a drunk one night fascinated by the moon....innocent ...
