Excellent voices overpowered by incongruous orchestral accompaniment.The richness of the voices was spoiled for one who wants a male voice choir to be just that.This cd does more than it says on the tin,unfortunately.

The quality of the accompanyments and the production quality are outstanding. This is undoubtedly the best Welsh Male Voice choir recording in my collection.

This compilation offers a excellent combination of hymns and welsh folk songs, with brilliant quality sound. Unlike some other Welsh Male voice CD's the singing is not drowned out by an organ or have an underemphasis on one of the parts. Easily the best Welsh male voice I've bought and it has become a much appreciated present to many relatives.

If you like listening or singing choral music you must own this CD. This is a beautiful album. One of the best pieces is A Boy and a Girl, a lyrical piece that is simply stunning. Eric Whitacre is growing in reputation as one of the best choral composers of this generation. This album cements that reputation.

whoever wrote the 'whats on this cd' blurb mislead me to buy this item - I needed the WHOLE of the Messiah AND THE WHOLE of Faure's Requiem and reading this blurb you think you have it - but guess what - there are only extracts - the titles given are just for the whole work - not the individual piece of music - so I cannot learn the pieces for two concerts I am performing in before Christmas off this - very misleading. Sorry - but it is not the only album Ill ever need.

in hopes of roping in us 'dumb American consumers' with the 'hot chicks' CD cover. The music is excellent and the front (UK) cover magical. And, until they stop putting "EXPLICIT LYRICS!" warnings in as part of a cd's cover art, instead of removable stickers, (or better yet, none at all) I will buy my CDs from Amazon.UK. the prices usually are about the same, and it can take only THREE DAYS from when I put an the order, to when it arrives (I live in Seattle. Ironic-this is where Amazon started) Oh, and then on every back cover and some label art contain an idiotic FBI warning. This collection of songs if by no means for the purist looking for a CD of Medieval music. The Babes rework and reinvent the songs giving them a contemporary feel without loosing the otherworldly feeling. The mix of voices are beautiful and I find it's a great relaxing CD
