Oh dear oh dear . Despite all Georgee does to make himself a total laughing stock , out the good folk of this world dash to get another slab of his genius in concert or on CD's such as this . Honestly people , you can do better . Not one of these dirges sticks in the mind long enough to be forgettable , they just drift through the mind with the impact of a car insurance advert , but at least you need to have car insurance . Take it from me you really don't have to listen to George . Your ears not were designed to be used so badly .

One of my all time favourite albums. This will be a classic of the French chill-out genre for decades to come. Buy it!

The name Frank Sinatra is synonymous with with Jazz, Swing and Orchestral sound of music. He had an unmatched vocal talent and his music will always be viewed as legendary. It's hard to believe it's just over 10 years since we unfortunately lost this musical great. The Platinum collection compiles all of his classic greats that anyone and everyone would recognise instantly. His music wasn't made in the same way as todays standards. This CD gave my partner and I what we now affectionately call 'our song' - its 'Never, never, never' and means a great deal to us both. The rest of the CD is a sublime listening experience, sending shivers down your spine and making you laugh and cry. A wonderful collection of iconically sung masterpieces. Thank you Shirl.

This is an amazing album full of hits which were classis, even just after release all those years ago. The fact that they still sound great is testament to the man. I tried to find one song which i didnt like or didn't hum along to, but it was impossible. Buy it!

In a vote for the best Christmas album, it's a toss up for me between this and Phil Spector's. The voices of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin are perfect for Christmas songs. They sound all warm and homely, and you can almost imagine them standing in front of a log fire singing these. Plus, the banter between Frank, Dean and Sammy is pretty entertaining and makes the songs stand out from the usual Christmas standards. If you get it, you'll bring it out every year and it will put a smile on your face!

Antonio Carlos Jobim goes down with Lennon/McCartney, Gershwin, Amstrong as one of the most influential songwriter/stylists of the 20th century. To judge the album on its own merits is one thing. Getz turns in small but perfectly formed solos. Astrid Gilberto's voice is ravishing, complementing husband Joao's voice with that incredibly restrained vulnerability that is the essence of Bossa. It is an album of incredible tenderness and instrospection. The studio atmosphere is very intimate with an almost homespun quality. For me its a five star album in its own right. Some years back by accident I was introduced to this Great Band - "Roxy Music". Its True, they have their own style of music unique to them! Immediately I loved their style of music and bought this and many of its albums. This album features a collection of the BEST tracks from Roxy music and of Bryan Ferry. MY favourtie is More than this! Roxy music dates back to about 20 years, one aspect i like about their music is the introduction of the sax in some songs and the organ,it goes realy well with Bryans vocals. Brillianty compiled into one of the best albums of Roxy Music! Even if you like other types of music, listen to this will open you to another level of music. A must have and must listen.
