If you're looking at this item and reading this review then you probably already know who Hybrid are and have an expectation of the quality of this album. Well, let me just assure you that the usual Hybrid quality and attention to detail is here in spades. Both CDs are a slight deviation from what you might expect from Wales' finest, especially on CD2 with its 4/4 beats, but it's only a slight deviation and definitely not a bad thing! CD2 is a great mix in it's own right, but for me it's all about CD1, which is worth buying the album for on its own. The quality of the accompanyments and the production quality are outstanding. This is undoubtedly the best Welsh Male Voice choir recording in my collection.

Spurred into digging out this CD again after seeing the band live at Mr. Kyps in Poole on September 21st, (for the second year running - check their website, they're on tour and may be playing at a venue near you!), the tracks covered here are excellent. I originally got into Budgie in 1968 with their first album, tempted partly by the sleeve and the publicity surrounding the band at the time, and also the intriguing 'Nude Disintegrating Parachutist Woman' song title; which is as strangely quirky today as it was back then. And they didn't stop there, either, as 'In The Grip Of A Tyrefitter's Hand' also on here justifies. Budgie reformed partly due to a DJ in Texas playing their tracks and a cult-following building from the airplay, and thankfully enough fans ... Read More:

I Looked through my archives of old vids and discovered that my love for Uk music had meant that i had taped SFA Tracks for years without realising or bothering to notice who they were.In 2005 i put together a mix of the best of Uk music and wanted to top it up with all the 4 Countries.What about those welsh geezers,Super furry something somethings.So off we go and find any old vid and it was called Rings around the World.Wow what a track what a band,i still ignored the band though.A Slight interest in Juxtapozed with U as it seemed interesting.A Few months later i watch a film called Snow Cake and sadly when the Girl dies in the film they play a track called Hello Sunshine by,you guessed it,SFA.Isn`t that the Welsh band again i ask myself,not sure sounds superb though ...
