I think anyone who browses this site will soon realise that the price and quality of cds are rarely related. Here we have another example of a GREAT cd available for pennies. Marvin Gaye would have been happy to have recorded "It's not that easy", Mobile DJs around the country would be wise to invest in this disc for Lemar's duet with Joss Stone for Silver Wedding celebrations and as for the collaboration with the always excellent Mica Paris and Styles P, WOW !. You will rarely here such a complete Urban/R&B tune as "Can't you see".You may have guessed already but I RATE this album. It joins my list of bargain soul buys - see my other reviews for more excellent soul with change from a quid.

When I bought this album, I kind of liked it,but something was missing. I played it and whilst it was never off my player for a while, it soon made it's way onto the shelves, and was forgotten about as The Darkness' star rapidly fell. I remember seeing the band on a kids morning TV show at the time of the first single release from this album, and they looked frankly dowdy, with Justin in a boring T Shirt and jeans. Now I look back, and I realise that was was missing was the FUN element of the band. Just when Art needed an album of 'adult pop'to boost his solo career, he opted for a passionless collection of standards. Bad move. Something along the lines of 'Scissors Cut' or 'Lefty' would have been far more credible. This just leaves me cold, I'm afraid, and I'm a diehard fan.

Idiot Pilot have managed to break the boundaries of electronica and metal to create a refreshingly different album - the chord progressions are striking and exciting compared with the boring same-old that gets churned out by 99% of bands, and Chris Pennie's drumming is invigourating and rhythmically enticing. I just wish there were more bands out there doing the same.

State of the World Address is one of the fan's favorite Biohazard albums, and a large percentage of the album has made up the bands live show since it came out. There's a simple reason for this, SOTWA is a brilliant album, and a perfect example of what made Biohazard so good in the first place. The lead guitar work here is exemplary, with amazing and plentiful guitar solos. With Metalica style riffs one minute, Black Sabbath dangling chords the next minute, over a bedrock of rapping and Hardcore Punk shouting that blends suprisingly well. The album includes many classic Biohazard songs including 'Tales From The Hardside,' 'How It Is,' and 'Down For Life.' after not listening 2 Journey for a long time, this album reminded me how absolutely brilliant they WERE. when the main manSTEVE PERRY was with them.His voice live is even better (if that is possible) than in studio albums.This album is excellent. Its a sin hes not singing still.

I was sent the link to Avalanches "Ski Surfin" by Amazon as I'd previously bought Avalanches "Since I left you" - however the CD arrived entitled THE Avalanches a 1960's Beach Boy's/The Shadows ensemble - Gutted !!
