My 7 year old son loves audio books and we have lots! He likes King Arthur tales but they can often be quite difficult to read and understand. However this is read brilliantly and we have both been gripped. Admittedly I have quite often had to pause it and explain parts but it is read in chapters which gives you convenient places to recap. We have listened travelling to and from school and for 3 nights we sat in the car on the drive listening to see what happens. This is a great next step if they are getting a little to old for 'Stories for 5/6/7 year olds" audio books. It really is great. Buy it!

Great C.D. my Son (aged 7)has listened to it several times ands loves the story! will be buying more from this collection.

Great for car journeys, well produced, and lots of interesting stuff. Recommended for children 8 plus. My 10, 14 and 18 year old all enjoy these Naxos books, and so do their parents. Well done naxos.

The Order of the Phoenix is the weakest in the Harry Potter books but I still gave it 4 stars, this just shows how good the books are. JK Rowling is an amazing author.

This audio CD book, alongside with other Naxos educational CDs for children, is absolutely fantastic. It contains loads of information, so adults interest is guaranteed as well as children's fascination. It's a must for curious little minds. Presented in an easy listening format, it educates and enterntains at the same time. Boring car journeys became a highly enjoyable and educational experiences in our family since Naxos CDs were purchased. Being non-fiction, they can be listened to over and over again, offering a chance for the child to remember and/or understand more details each time.

My two sons just love this . Martin Jarvis is absolutely fabulous with his voices, lisping Violet Eliabeth, and her parvenue arriviste mother. The stories are hillarious. William having to play fairies and having to say he likes all little girls(sweet little girl in white)William and the outlaws losing a baby(she is ok) and trying to replace it and ending up with 3 babies, and running from three angry mothers.(William and the triplets).Willaim showing an American around his village telling her it is Strattford Upon Avon, and passing his house off as Anne Hathaways cottage(William and the lost tourist) All the stories are so superbly read it is an absolute joy to hear. Go on buy it .

For such a simple story, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn often proves to be elusive for its readers. Here are some guideposts to look out for: This story is told by Huck, and is not in the classic shape of a novel. Rather it is a precursor to Ulysses and Remembrance of Things Past, where other great writers attempted to capture the essence of our internal dialogue. Huck is also hiding a lot from himself. I first listened to Just William on a car journey to France and since then I have become hooked to these audio CDs. They are a perfect listen where ever you are and the stories are always very funny. In case you haven't read any Just William novels the basic plot of the tales follows William and his friends: Ginger, Henry and Douglas on adventures often resorting in trouble! There success lies in the excellent narrating of Richmal Crompton who is outstanding! If you have never heard these stories I urge you to buy one and you like me will become hooked! The stories are suitable for all ages so even adults will enjoy them!!!
