I love this album. Ever since i bought it iv been driving my family and friends crazy singing all the catchy songs. As a big busted fan i think it is a very good pop/rock album. I would recommend it to anyone, the jonas brothers are more than just some "disney popcorn" and their songs are very well written. One of the best albums i own!

This is a really great selection of songs and even though most appear all too frequently on numerous compilations celebrating this period, the album would still normally rate five stars. However, I am surprised that none of the previous reviewers point out that not all the recordings are the originals as stated but inferior re-recordings that lack the nostalgia of the originals, e.g. Only Sixteeen by Craig Douglas, Wonderful Land by the Shadows and Pat Boone's Love Letters In The Sand. This really lets it down and there really can be no excuse for this from a label of the pedigree.

This new album does have a couple of outstanding tracks but the rest is just average. The outstanding tracks are 'If I were A Boy' and 'Halo' There is a track on here called 'Diva' and I am starting to wonder just why Beyonce would even think about recording a track as bad as this let alone actually recording and then releasing it. Not the best review I know but this albumn is just plain and exactly what you would expect from a Beyonce album. She doesn't push any boundaries or try anything new. Buy it in the January sales!

This is as fine an introduction to the works of Leonard Cohen as could be imagined. The track list, selected by the man himself, covers almost every period of his recorded output (Cohen is not prolific in the way, say, Bob Dylan is, or Neil Young), but I do feel some truly great stuff has been overlooked, i.e. the hushed, but haunting version of 'Story Of Isaac' from 1973's LIVE SONGS, which is one of the most profound things that anyone has ever written, the great live recordings from FIELD COMMANDER COHEN: Tour Of 1979, which admittedly was not released until after THE ESSENTIAL LEONARD COHEN appeared. You can argue about who's been most successful or who has the most stage presence, but when it come to sheer vocal ability Christina has her peers beat hands down. It's amazing that this voice can come out of such a tiny woman, but vocally she's more than a match for the likes of Aretha, Patti and Whitney. This Greatest Hits album not only shows off her power but also her versatility - from her pop beginnings she's moved on and tried her hand at jazz, blues, rock, RnB and everything in between. Even her teen pop is catchier and has more bite than your average commercial throwaways, but in songs like Fighter and Beautiful she shows off true soul and grit as an artist. Having watched Dreamgirls time and time again and it having become my favourite all-time film I was destined to buy this new offering from its star-Jennifer Hudson. I already knew that Jennifer was a fantastically talented vocalist, but I did wonder how that would translate into a music album. As it turns out I was wrong to have doubts as this is a brilliant album and in no way sounds like a debut, but instead like the work of a mature and accomplished artist. 1.Spotlight-This was clearly demarkated as the first single with its catchy hook and mid-tempo beat. I have just bought this today, and having listened to it, I think it is a really good ablbum, well worth buying. If there were some more songs with a bit more oomph, such as Isobel and some of their other previous songs, I would have given this album 5 stars. However, that aside it is a great album! Go buy it!

I bought this on the sole basis of the single 'Sweet about me' I liked this song and her voice.... I still like that song and her voice but this album truly disappointed me. The lyrics; nothing clever here, she rhymes everything, Owe, Show. Thunder, Wonder. Night, Bite. Play, Day. Grumpy, Bumpy. Ding and Swing!! and Maybe Baby!! No!! I know she's young but this just goes to show poor inexperienced songwriting and in my mind very lazy! Her voice is quite pleasant and some of the tunes are nice but the laziness of the lyrics just made me laugh and after about 2 listens it just irritated me... Maybe she will mature and with some songwriting lessons or a good mentor she will get better but she has not impressed me with this album. Read More:

If, like me, you're one of those people who was blown away by Felt Mountain but disappointed by what came after then Seventh Tree may give you cause to rejoice. Although a very different beast to FM this album shares the same quirky, sensual and exotic oddness as Goldfrapp's remarkable debut. The main difference between the two is mood - FM was frequently quite dark (and in the case of Deer Stop, downright creepy) but Seventh Tree is a long summer's day to Felt Moutain's eerie twilight. Goldfrapp obviously don't mind annoying their fans - having thoroughly cheesed-off many Felt Moutain lovers (including me) by going off in a wildly differnt direction for their next two albums they've now annoyed some of the fans of those albums by abandoning the dance-orientated electronica in ...
