The most uplifting album I've heard for a while. This album is packed with boisterous, singalong classics that fulfill the promise of Costello Music. This is a better album. The Fratellis have obviously gained in confidence and there is evidence of abundant songwriting and technical skill here. On first listen, I was struck by musical reminders of Artic Monkeys (My Friend John), Suede(Lupe Brown), Waterboys and Kasabian (Tell Me a Lie), for example. This was a departure from Costello Music which had a consistent Slade feel. The variety of styles is welcome and promises even better for the future because it suggests a good understanding of what it takes to write great songs.

I love this album! I bought this album for 'now you're gone' and it's probably the track i have listened to least, all tracks are so bouncy and just great.

Get this album! if you haven't heard of hot chip, or you're looking to buy your first hot chip album, this one is the one to get. I have it for about 2 weeks and it hasn't left my car since, I've to it everyday and I'm still not bored of it.

This album is twice as good as his previous effort and I have therefore given it two stars. His voice is still annoying though. Maybe someone should suggest to him (nicely) he does an instrumental album. Yikes..

I remember the original hairspray from when I was younger and loved it then and still love it now, even though the songs and characters are different its still amazing! the soundtrack has all the songs from the film that just make you want to be in that groovy era of the 50's/60's. I have the album in my car and can never resist a good old sing along. Definitely a feel good soundtrack to brighten up your day! love it and love Hairspray!

If star Wars can have a prequel why cant LIVE AND DANGEROUS? Like other prequels UK TOUR 75 has some of the same characteristics; familiarity, expectation, anticipation and ultimately disappointment as it falls in the shadow of its elder brother and gets accused of being a me too, wannabe. However, UK TOUR 75 is different as it is not a true prequel in the Star Wars mould as it actually was before the aforementioned L&D and more importantly this is an album of great songs performed by a great band. Thin Lizzy were more bluesy in those pre-Jailbreak days; the guitar playing was more considered and not just for kerrang! effect. I wouldn't call myself a fan Of Disturbed but I have The Sickness and Ten Thousand Fists they are both amazing album (and both sound unique in its sound). This album however didn't top 'em. The album starts off really well with Indestructable, Inside The Fire & Deceiver but then goes down hill. All the songs seem to have really good heavy intros with great drumming but Dave's vocals though he is a great vocalist just sounds the same in nearly all the tracks, sometimes it sounds like he doesn't want to be there. The musicianship is awesome, in every song. This album just doesn't have enough variety in it, it soon becomes repetitive, some tracks are excellent and alot of that has to do with Dave's vocals. This is why, when captive on an aeroplane, you should listen/watch different stuff. This is the most compelling new album I've heard for a while - keep listening to it, and discovering new depths. It's clever, simultaneously retro and bang up to date, and quite fascinating. Remarkable.

This album features the greatest song ever written or recorded "LOVE WILL TEAR US APART` - The rest of the songs are OK - but `Love Will Tear Us Apart` is a timeless classic, a work of art that I play about 30 times every day...it is playing now as I write this. The vocal performance of the late great Ian Curtis is pure pop pefection...I want this song played at my funeral along with "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Sinead O`Connor and "My Death" by DAVID BOWIE. Those three songs are better than any tonic, more moving then any hymn or national anthem and give more of a buzz than any drug. If you dont like Joy Division or New Order - still BUY this album because "Love Will Tear Us Apart" is a reason for living...
