Boundry busting Gilles girates his Technic for smiley faces... CD1 foreward thinking house mix, starting out all soulful and vocal, then moving into his more trademark afro sound (with 4/4 this time though), then into jazzy house and deep techno. He gives the middle finger to his dissers that say he can't mix. Ok he's no Louie Vega or Sasha but he does a solid mix here. CD2 his usual kinda black music gear. Very uplifting though 'think Jackie Brown' soul, jazz, b-boy. CD3 unmixed exclusive gems, a good variety of house grooves for all you budding jocks out there. Very different and very fresh. Highly recommended.

It is wonderful to have a WHOLE listenable album of amazingly well crafted, chilled, sophisticated music by one group. I just love this album, Lebanese Blonde is one of the best chill out tunes of all time but there are some other truly great tracks on there.

This is really one of the best albums i have had. Prior to the release of the Cosmic Game, I spent a really long time in the UK going to record-shop after record shop asking if they had "Thievery Corporation" to be told "huh?". I'm sorry, but this is music which deserves better recognition. It's not like they are particularly obsecure/specialist. Amerimacka remains one of my favourite tracks. Its the ambience of chill-out and great vocals on many tracks which really stand this out. If you can get this with Sounds from Thievery Hi-Fi, you can see how far these guys have developed.

This is the latest release in the amazing career, of for me, the finest Jazz-funk band ever assembled. Once again you will be blown away by the superb production of all YES all 14 tracks on this album. Highlights are the opening "stay mine" with the now familiar Incognito style that is instantly recognisable yet totally individual. "Worlds Collide" & Castles In The Air" are masterpieces of soul, jazz fusing with orchestration and stunning vocal arrangements leaving you wanting more.............. I remember years ago when I saw the music video for "Virtual Insanity" with its unique special effects and Jay Kay's signature vocal "sound," I had an inkling that it was going to be a good album to listen to. It's definitely a quick pick-me-up! You've got all different kinds of music on it. Reggae, rock, pop, jazz... etc. Whatever kind of music that floats your boat, you'll probably find on this album. My favorite tracks are "Virtual Insanity" (of COURSE...) "Alright" (just makes you want to dance), "Cosmic Girl," "Traveling Without Moving," "Everyday," and "Drifting Along." My all time greatest band Jamiroquai has created a masterpiece in this, their fourth album. This album seems to stray from the Acid Jazz roots apparent in their previous albums, which angered many fans. I have to say though, there is alot more 'pop' experimentation, but... I love it. In fact the song 'Deeper Underground' was the first song I had heard from this group when I was younger, and now I own every other album. Even after hearing everything else by them this album still holds charm. When I say experimentation, I mean experimentation. Almost every song is different, Canned heat is very different to Deeper Underground for example. There is alot of dance, pop and still just a pinch of jazz in this album that makes it very versatile and enjoyable ... Read More:

This is by far the best album Jamiroquai have written. It came at a time when Jamiroquai had it's finest line-up of band members inc Jay, Toby, Wallis & Stuart. This album builds on Emergency On Planet Earth's Acid Jazz vibes and takes it to another level. Many of the tracks are very mellow, but in Scam and Just Another Story we hear some real serious, almost angry, funk. This album also includes perhaps the most classic Jamiroquai track: Space Cowboy, available here in it's full album version glory -far more musically interesting than the somewhat more radio friendly version that was released as a single. I just had to write this review as I couldn't allow this album to have such a luke-warm presence on Amazon!! Some fantastic songs - you'll start checking to see where you've heard them before but they are so memorable they ingrain themselves on your mind very quicly!! And the production, arrangements and playing are superb - simply top quality. Not only do we have the excellent core of all the best Incognito - their fantastic rhythm section Julian Crampton is on top form particularly on bass - but you alss have some of the best Jazz musicians in the UK - like Ed Jones on Saxes and Gerard Presencer on Trumpet/Flugel.
