The previous reviewer seems to be referring to another CD by Jon Kabat-Zinn. This CD set has 4 CD's, Bodyscan Meditation, Mindful Yoga, Sitting Meditation and Mindful Yoga 2. This CD forms the basis of the 8 week Mindfulness course developed by Jon Kabat Zinn and adapted by Mark Williams and others to run in the UK. The Bodyscan and the Sitting Meditation are the ones I use the most so far they form the bedrock for Mindfulness as put forward by Jon Kabat Zinn. I use them regularly and learn something about myself and Mindfulness every time I listen to the CD's. Jon Kabat-Zinn is the best teacher of Mindfulness I have found he talks total sense backed up by a scientific background and years of running courses on Mindfulness in hospitals and medical ... This is my newest acquisition from the Meditainment range and as with all previous cds, it works beautifully. The sound is crystal clear, of a very high quality and the guided meditations do relax you to a point, where I am actually nodding off. (Do not use whilst driving) The 3 tracks on this cd are very well produced and it does exactly what it says on the tin - 'helps you in dealing with stress, tension and worry as you become deeply relaxed and enjoy feelings of total contentment and complete peace of mind' I have over the years purchased many relaxation tapes and latterly cds, even ordering tapes and videos from America before there was any such thing as the Internet to try and find something that actually ... The usual monotheistic dominance: a single all knowing god. I've spent a lifetime trying to get away from people who want a monotheistic god - who just happens to be what they want him / her to be. I don't mind people wanting this - but Kelly could put that on the cover and I will happily steer clear. But (as usual) the assumption seems to be that everyone will believe and want what Kelly believes. I guess my starting point is to say I have beliefs and it is very unlikely that they will be other people's. I think that mediation / self hypnosis has something to offer people who are different to me. I can respect how they are and what they believe. If only Kelly and Christians were capable of the same.

I was a little unsure about getting this tape, as the idea of angels has never been something that interests me. However, I do feel (like many, many others) that our realities are formed by thoughts, feelings and our intentions and this is what Doreen really goes into in such a wonderful and humourous way. Explaining the pitfalls of many conscious creators (including myself) and how to avoid them. The progression itself is beautiful. I really enjoyed it and far from it being something I just made up about my future, I saw things that I never would have put there consciously. Is it my future that I saw? Well thats up to me and the choices I make, but it certainly has made me aware of the possiblity that it COULD be! Read More:

If you're considering buying this, my advice is, don't hesitate (in case Naxos decide one day to withdraw it)! This reading of the poem is simply a minor marvel. What Lesser responds to are all the details of Milton's writing: that intelligence, strangeness, inventiveness, humour, mischief, Milton's way with worlds and words, too. Lesser reads without pomposity or over-weighting the lines. Milton's wonderful, voyaging sentences therefore uncurl like an unexpected landscape before us, so experimentally, with delay and suspense, shifting and adjusting meaning as the sentence rolls on, or suddenly undeceiving us with an unnerving undermining of what we think's going to be said...it's a terrific experience, to hear this. was highly impressed with insights and suggestions on this recording. One can put only so much information on one CD and for what you can learn and experience as a newcomer to Shamanic journeying in a little bit more than ONE HOUR, I have found this CD awesome. I particularly liked suggestions relating how to ask good questions and set an intent for a journey. One particular suggestion would apply to any form of divination. For example, if you ask your spirit helper (power animal, etc.) "Should I marry so and so?", the spirit helper may say "Sure, go ahead". Then when you get married to that person, you find out that the marriage was a complete disaster and start to wonder about the effectiveness of Shamanic journeying. Read More:

This cd really does put you to sleep. If you are one of the many, who finds it difficult to shut off or quiet your mind, and as soon as your head hits the pillow, it is like flicking on a switch as thoughts begin racing through the little grey cells and flood your mind with all kinds of 'stuff' - I think the technical term is Sleep-Onset Insomnia - then this cd could really help you. There are 2 tracks, one male and one female vocal. All you need to do is follow the instructions by focusing on the voice at all times, (which are very soothing and easy to follow voices) and you will fall to sleep naturally. It's like being gently lulled to sleep in a relaxing and serene way, calmness reigns and the mind is quiet as you drift off. Read More:

In my opinion there is very little music truly suitable for meditation. One exception I can think of is Tony Scotts Music for Zen Meditation. This CD is remarkable. I read somewhere that it was like a cross between Nawang's sensational flute playing and Arvo Part's slow meditative music. That description comes very close. It is quite simply beautiful and the ideal accompaniment to meditation or just to listen to in order to relax. There are a few other instruments alongside the flute on this recording: cello, violin, oud, chimes. You would think that would be distracting or detract from the simple flute sounds, but it isn't and it doesn't. Someone on Amazon dot com wrote about how Nawang's chanting was too quiet.
