The problem with the Shea Stadium gig was that they were supporting a stadium rock band (The Who) and, thus, concentrated on some of their more audience-friendly tracks. The best live Clash track I have ever heard is Complete Control. Other great lives songs include White Man In Hammersmith Palais, London's Burning and Capital Radio. None of which feature here. Although there are some great Clash songs on here, and some are better than on the second half of From Here To Eternity, this does not represent the best of the Clash live. To get a true picture of what the Clash were like live, you'd probably need the first half of From Here To Eternity, mixed with a random selection of tracks from this CD. Read More:

Parachutes is still my favourit album from Coldplay. This album contributed to coldplays success with great songs Shivers, Yellow, High Speed, Everythings not lost. What can I say one of the best English bands ever.

Simply, if you don't have this album you need to book an appointment at the Priory. Listen from start to finish and escape into the sounds of one of the greatest rock and roll bands ever.

Are Keane too hard-rocking and uncompromising for you? Is James Blunt just too damn original and heartfelt? Then try Coldplay! Perfection of mediocrity! (Baa baa! ...that's a trumpet) I know... I'm mean. I don't hate this stuff. But that's the point... it's so WET. When did people like this get to masquerade as rock musicians? It's bad for you. Your children will grow up thinking this is what a rock band sounds like. Zeppelin who? no, I wanna listen to the guys who go "waaa.. waa... I'm sad and feeble..." When there's the likes of Gutter Twins, Aquila, Rufus Wainwright and The Veils out there barely making a dent, you should not be spending your money and valuable time on this.

I notice one of the tags for this album is 'music'. Yeah! Coldplay, whadda they sound like? well, sort of... music, really. Whoo! I got to get me some of that! Yes, it's the sonic equivalent of watching paint dry... I'm sorry. I don't HATE this stuff. But that's the point... it's so WET. When did people like this get to masquerade as rock musicians? One great track (Live forever) and a lot of average material. Although they would do better with Morning Glory they were never as good as the totally overlooked Diesel Park West (Check out the truly seminal "Shakespeare, Alabama").

Whatever people tell me about the ramones: i always say that these guys defined punk music. Still today The Jam is a classic band that will always have a place in my album collection. This CD however is overdoing everything. Punk rock albums are usually very short and having to listen to 20 songs that do all sound extremely simmilar can get tedious. More than this I believe that punk bands very designed for live performances: they had a great attitude to live acts which made them amazing to listen to. The CD takes the heart out of this genre and for that i mark it down. Also there are a few songs could have done without. 81/100

Quite simply one of the best albums ever. Each track is distinctive, keeps you rocking, Kelly's voice is amazsing. Great lyrcis, great music, buy it!

This is not their best album, worth listening to, definitely. I would urge you to buy it but if it's a choice of different muse albums go for Black Holes and Revelations. Very good lyrics and the songwriting is upto scratch as usual. Still very good.
