This album is brilliant, it is much better than the doctors advictate mainly because he does not go on about Dre on each track, this is his own work and it shows how good he is, there is no bad track on this album so i reccomend it highly

This album is very disappointing compared to other nas albums..yes lyrically nas is on point as usual and delivers some great lyrics..unfortunately the production on this album is seriously mediocre..nas last couple of album especially have had top producers like kanye etc this however has largelly a roster of unknown producers who deliver some shockingly bad bland beats. thers a couple of tracks to be liked..like america but a lot of it is boring indeed.

Get nas last album..its way better than this

What can i say? I'm not a fan of Lil Wayne probably because of his "I'm the greatest rapper alive" which he clearly isn't, but this album has made me think that he may not be the best but he definitely can rap now! I don't like all his songs but a few of them do have a vibe of flow and hard hitting lyrics. I have liked his previous music from past years, this man definitely can be put into top 20 rappers of all time, he is the first pure artist since Mr. Slim Shady but don't be foolish because he doesn't come close to Tupac, Eminem, Nas and a few others. Those are the Untouchables.

Not saying Wayne is average but I don't see him trading lyrical content with Eminem and winning.

First bona fide Rap album I ever bought back in the late '80s. I confess, it was Thrash Metal veterans, Anthrax constantly banging on about them that convinced me!
Great album with perhaps the most intelligent lyrics ever written for a Rap cd - even though I don't agree with many of the opinions expressed, I respect them.
A production that was way ahead of the time, with great beats, basslines & samples, with a near perfect vocal balance between the intense and angry Chuck D and the more eccentric Flavor Flav. It's easy to see why this had appeal to the Metal crowd with it's heavy, urban tone, militaristic imagery and incendiary attitudes. Indeed, one track, She Watch Channel Zero features a sample of the riff from Slayer's Angel Of Death. EARLY ... Read More:

It's a close call between Method Man's 'Tical', Raekwon's 'Only Built 4 Cuban Linx' and this album, but in my opinion, the GZA's 'Liquid Swords' is the de facto Wu-Tang solo album. A dark, menacing masterpiece, underpinned by a mysticism and intelligence that you will rarely find in a hardcore rap album. The production is ace - RZA truly was on fire in this period of frenetic productivity which yielded so many classics and this album is equal, if not better than anything he has produced prior or since. To call it dark is an understatement - this is pitch black territory. Sparse, menacing and raw, but also interspersed with RZA's trademark, spaced-out samples that define his unique soundscapes. And of course the kung-fu samples, brilliantly employed here.

Black Sunday made Cypress Hill's connection to rock & roll more explicit, with its heavy metal-like artwork and noisier, more dissonant samples (including, naturally, stoner icons Black Sabbath). It's a slightly darker affair than its groundbreaking predecessor, with the threats of violence more urgent and the pot obsession played to the hilt (after all, it was a crucial part of their widespread appeal). Apart from those subtle distinctions, the sound of Black Sunday is pretty much the same as Cypress Hill, refining the group's innovations into an accessible bid for crossover success. In fact, it's a little startling how often Black Sunday recycles musical ideas and even lyrical catch phrases from the endlessly inventive debut. And the rock-derived, verse-chorus song structures ... Read More:
