You may have seen Boyz II Men in the spotlight recently, as they released their own cover versions of Motown classics, which is fantastic for any fan. The Legacy is all about Boyz II Men's journey from early hip hop, or contemporary soul to power ballads, and all are included on this wonderfull collection. All their well known hits are included, from their first to 'recent' ones, made when the album was first produced in the year 2000. An absolute masterpiece.

This album was one of my first tastes of a new genre of music. I cant recommend this enough, very deep insightful. The tunes kinda flow togther and they are masterfully crafted. I personaly love to stick this on late at night after a hards days work, get some candles on, turn off the lights and maybe a crafty smoke chill and chat to friends or that special person. The more you listen the more it grows on you. Its uniqueness is part of its charm and i couldnt imagine anyone not rating this as immense. Enjoy listneing if you purchase it.

I like many others recently dug this cd out of my collection.Most of you will think you are familiar with this work but let me assure you that you are not!!! The melodies and beats on this album are beyond ctiticism even for those of you that do not like hip-hop.A soulful set that will; in time, without question be regarded as a swansong to the twentieth century.Truly a classic which I think the fact no follow up album has been released testifies to the musical genious of Ms.Hill.How exactly do you follow up hip-hop/soul/r'n'b perfection? Lyrically and musically this album set a benchmark that has not really been matched within black music.

Well I've always loved Mariah, Celine and Leona, but i've never really warmed up to Whitney, i think i love the high screaming nutters! lol. But yes, this is a great collection of hits from Ms. Houston. I will always love you being the most impressive, and theres a few gems on here that i'd never heard before like "Its not Right But its okay" , "How Will I Know" and a few more. There are some which i dont like at all such as "count on me" (even though its nice) and im sick of hearing "Run To you"!! But she will go down as a classic. Even though she is amazing, i do still believe Celine has more power, Mariah has more range and Leona- well we havent seen the best of leona yet... A classic album of the 80s was thriller. the classic album for the noughties is 8701. an amazing album. flawlessly put together and so memorable. this album has served as a soundtrack to a time in my life and to do that demonstrates the power of the album. amazing!!!

I loved the original b'day, but this delux edition is even better. I only got this CD two weeks ago and I have played it everyday since!!! It just seems to get better and better everytime I listen to it. There isn't one bad track - the man is a genius...buy it!!!

This review is for the original electronic release, not the rock version. I remember when this album came out back in 2001, I wasn't feeling The Neptunes at the time. I was mostly into underground hip-hop so listening to this type of stuff was considered kinda poppish. But as the years passed by, my listening taste has grown and I decided to give The Neptunes a true listen because the music nowadays have no creativity whatsoever. So stuff that I didn't like back then has now become gold. This is the masterpiece I missed out on.
