Bought this cd a few weeks ago and just can't stop listening to it. Whatever mode i am in, it cheers me up and makes me smile great album really worth getting.

If you like some classic soul eg Marvin, Curtis, Aretha, Al Green etc then this is an essential purchase. Also if you like the quality end of modern RnB like Alicia Keys or John Legend then this is also essential. There are no bad tracks here. 'Living For The City' is probably the greatest of Stevie's social commentaries. Alot of listeners today don't appreciate how amazing Stevie Wonder was in his prime, I'm too young to have heard him during the 70s and if I hadn't just trusted all the platitudes I probably would never have discovered him!. I just thought of Stevie Wonder as being the guy who did 'I just Called To Say I Love You' but that was the end of the creative period. This album blew my mind when I first heard it 15 years or so ago. From the first to the last this album reaches the pinnacles that other artists just cannot. To think that it is over 30 years old to me it sounds fresher and more vital than most of the bland R&B that is being offered up today. Also it's political message still blows me away. This album is so good that everyone should own it. Infact if you know someone who doesn't get them a copy. It would count as a genuine act of kindness on your part. It's just a shame he's not still with us.

You cannot fit all of Marvin's hits on a single CD but this collection has most of the essentials. From a British perspective, one advantage that this has over the double CD (Very best of, which was compiled in America but released in both the UK and USA) is that it includes three UK top ten hits that are not on the double CD, these being Onion song (supposedly with Tammi Terrell, though Tammi was too ill to record the song and a sound-alike substituted), You are everything (with Diana Ross) and Abraham Martin and John (which was an American hit for Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, not Marvin Gaye). Let's forget for a moment that diana ross has had about 1,000,000 greatest hits collections if you don't have all her other hits collections you should buy this one for sure if you are a diana ross fan you need this two amazing discs life all her upbeat pop hits love all her classic ballads my favorite tracks on this amazing two disc album are upside down not over you yet endless love untill we meet again gonig back the new track on the album overall it has to be a 10/10 must buy if you liked this album you should get Diana I Love You: +DVD Every Day Is a New Day or try Let the Music Play: Supreme Rarities 1960-1969.

talking book this is a classic soul album i love it and play it quite regually its cool it features two known songs you are the sunshine of my life,superstition and lots of other good songs which aint recoginised so much radios have a habit of playing 2 or 3 songs by one artist all radio stations are guilty of it eg queen bohemian rhapsody,youre my best friend,dont stop me now and sometimes we will rock you but theres plenty of other fab songs by queen eg innuendo,these are the days of our lives,somebody to love and more i like a winters tale too off the made in heaven album fab!! but they do this with any artist play certain songs thats why i get bored by radio stations rather go and put my own cds on!! if i listen too radio its radio2 mark radcliffe and stuart maconie and ... They began their career as The Primes, singing on street corners in the ghetto areas for blacks in Detroit with Diana Ross And The Supremes (then known as their sister group, The Primettes). After signing to Motown in 1961, they took a seperate road from The Supremes and before long, were pumping out to what would amount too, an endless river of classics.
