This is the latest release in the amazing career, of for me, the finest Jazz-funk band ever assembled. Once again you will be blown away by the superb production of all YES all 14 tracks on this album. Highlights are the opening "stay mine" with the now familiar Incognito style that is instantly recognisable yet totally individual. "Worlds Collide" & Castles In The Air" are masterpieces of soul, jazz fusing with orchestration and stunning vocal arrangements leaving you wanting more.............. "Rivers Runnin' Black" is the mainly instrumental track that is the benchmark of all Incognito albums and is currently getting airplay courtesy of "Jazz FM". For me however, the ultimate track is the closing title "Down to Earth" this starts with ... Read More:

....to this brilliant album. Well done BNH! The music is very funky indeed.

The kind of album you can put in your CD player and leave on repeat. I saw them live in Wembley Stadium in 1992 when they were supporting Simply Red. The stadium was packed with nearly 75,000 people and they simply blew everyone away, I've been a fan ever since that day.

I bought this CD sometime ago and I must say that I haven't heard anything so funky in a while, straight from the first second. If you enjoy good funky jazz then this is a MUST!

KOOP is sitting on top of a very tall tree.

Every track simply perfect. Incredibly warm, summery and full of happiness, every song written with the listener in mind.

Hate jazz? I'm not a fan of the genre as a whole but this album works so well. Every time I listen to it my mood is enhanced in a way that brightens up the whole day.

Just simply stunning.

Music : A Joyful Noise Unto the Creator
I was blessed by seeing Galliano in their full glory playing on top of the peak in Hong Kong (and Brighton a few years later) A brilliant album by an ecclectic ensemble of accomplished musicians.

Galliano epitomised the Acid Jazz / Rap / Reaggae / Funk crossover of the early '90's

This is a great and varied album, a summer and festival classic

Hi, this is Carleens 4th solo album and is the best by far. It sees Carleen consolidate on the sounds she has explored in her first three records and merge these styles into a sound of her own. Totally accomplished in every way. Funky, classy, soulful, Carleen is the business and this is a brilliant cd from start to finish. Buy this record!

30.Saint-Germain des Pres Cafe: the Finest Electro-Jazz Compilation/Paris by: Various Artists

Music : Saint-Germain des Pres Cafe: the Finest Electro-Jazz Compilation/Paris
Hidden in amongst the recent avalanche of "chill out" and "jazz café" albums - many of which should be filed under "distinctly boring" - is this French release put together by Olivier Delachanal & Fabien Barrau. Bravely sub-titled as "the finest electro-jazz compilation" it is in fact pretty close to what it claims: virtually all of the selections are first rate, most are difficult to get hold of and - here's the trick that so many compiler's miss - the whole set fits together as a seamless whole. Exhibiting on the way through more than enough real treats to show exactly what modern electro-jazz can deliver, it just rolls along leaving you itching to hit the replay button. Re-file under "addictively good".
