1. Lovely Head. 10/10 2. Paper Bag. 8/10 3. Human. 10/10 4. Pilots. 10/10 5. Deer Stop. 5/10* 6. Felt Mountain. 9/10 7. Oompa Radar. 9/10 8. Utopia. 10/10 9. Horse Tears 9/10 * OUCH!!! Totally PAINFUL!!!! If you like "Supernature", "Black Cherry", and "Seventh Tree", have "Felt Montain". Obviously it's the weakest out of the 4, though really relaxing and entres you into a total state of calm. OVERALL GRADE: 10/10

There's not much I can add to the reviews already submitted, however in respect of Ringo not being given a song, he actually sang lead vocals on 'Matchbox' which was actually recorded during the sessions for a Hard Day's Night. Also recorded during these sessions were 'Long Tall Sally', 'I Call Your Name' and 'Slow Down'. All four of these songs (three of them were covers) were excluded from 'A Hard Day's Night', but released seperately on the 'Long Tall Sally' EP. Also of interest, the two sides of a single, i.e., 'Can't Buy Me Love' and 'You Can't Do That' were actually recorded at an earlier session in 1964, but included on the 'A Hard Day's Night' album.

As others have stated I am of a certain age but to keep up with my nephews and neices I try to keep abreast of what is going on in the world of popular music.... with this in mind I watched the Mercury Music Awards... and I was blown away by the quality and diversity of what is out there. Neon Neon's Stainless Style were one of the nominated albums and they performed a track from the album and thought this is good should get the album. A great move it is a triumph, a clean crisp sound of fused guitars and electronica. This album will live in my car and give me buzz everytime I drive. It's drivetime music perfected.

Loop were one of the great innovators of late 80's 90's rock. Criminally forgotten up to now they deserve a new audience. Buy this for the pulverising Collision - is this the only version currently available? Turn it up in a darkened room and you'll start to hear noises you never thought possible. No acid required! Move on to Heaven's End, also re- released, and on to Robert Hampson's work with [main] which makes this stuff sound commercial! Essential.

Possibly the best album of all time. Kermit has an especially fantastic voice, a cross between an early Cat Stevens and David Gray in his latest album, Life in Slow Motion. However, I think his rendition of One More Night till Christmas perhaps eclipses both these two great artists. I had heard rumours of a contract with Sony BMG and a solo career, but have no idea why it hasn't materialised. The song Love Is Gone is also an absolute classic, and brings tears to my eyes, especially the second version Track 18, which is perhaps the stand-out song of the entire album (which is saying a lot). Michael Caine also impressed me, and although not perhaps with quite the same talent as Kermit, or even Tiny Tim (whom reminds me of a young Aled Jones, and I believe ... Read More:

Just check out the clean guzzling bass line on Muscle Museum. The song sets up the perfect suburbian distopia and turns into nothing short of the perfect pop rock single when Matt's voice melts into a suspended guitar solo. Elsewhere theres the title track Showbiz, an epic of enclosing tension and Cave a similar epic flooding with teenage anxt. The back end of this record reveals more wonderfully rounded heavy yet alternative rock songs. The lyrics are spot on all the way through especially in Escape and Overdue. Theres a lush little acoustic ballad too in Unintended, so good they still sing it on tour. This is where Muse started off, with a CD just as good as all the others, sure the songs might not ... (this a review I worte back in 2005 and only found again recently) this album rocks. period. I understand how people can complain about it being more 'pop' than their older albums, with songs like Boulevard, and Wake me up when september ends, but come on, its still full of stuff that rocks! st. jimmy, give me novachaine, american idiot, jesus of suburbia! can you see the lieks of good charlotte doing these songs? The album itself its amazing. Of course, I don't expect some people to be able to appreciate it for what it is. A story. A political statement. A damned good album.

This is Fantastic. At first, as an Eagles Of Death Metal fan, I was impressed. Then I wasnt sure. Now I am. This album is superb, it moves things on nicely. The last two albums are great, but this is SERIOUS stuff. Jesse's vocals have moved on a stage or two, and are really being put to use. They are raw, and quite powerfull compared with previouse albums. He is very good! Perfect compliment to the catchy tunes that you might well be familliar with as a current fan. I could go on and on, but really, you should just buy this. If you dont like it you can blame me. For me, this is the best release of the year, and possibly longer.

The truth is, all of The Door's albums are worth owning and because each album was so different in style, it is important to purchase each one seperately to understand the true artistic diversity of the band. However in terms of packaging and tracklisting, this is the best compilation ever. The 40th anniversary remixes have noticible clarity over the previous CD releases, although it is disc 2 that sees some of the most noticable improvements. Love her madly and hello I love you are subtly different as are riders on on the storm and others although it is these former two that are superior through enchancement. The first Loop record I ever picked up back in 1988, and still an astonishing example of hypnotic psych-drone that the likes of Warlocks and The Black Angels could only ever hope of emulating (and long may they continue to try...). The guitars on this first album shimmered and glistened far more than on any of their later albums, each of which is equally as astonishing, but all three are completely different from each other whilst still remaining undeniably recognisable as Loop. I can remember back in the late 80's when Sonic from Spacemen 3 was telling all and sundry that Loop had ripped off their sound, but even to the layman this was obviously a case of sour grapes - indeed, the only really truly similar sounding track in their catalog was 'Suicide', and that was on ...
