Believe me, it's usually the other way round. Usually I have nothing but praise for the man and his show that introduce me to so many fantastic artists. But in the case of this album, seeing Martha Wainwright perform on that show before purchasing `I Know You're Married, but I've Got Feelings Too' has ruined me, because if I hadn't seen her perform live I would have been blissfully unaware that in the right form this collection of songs presents an absolutely incredible portrait of a uniquely charismatic singer/song-writer. But not when they're delivered with decidedly less passion on an over-produced album that is not a proper showcase for these beautifully written songs and the tortured/passionate voice that always performs to perfect spine ... That cover pic: the radiance in those eyes, and that smile! Wow, Joan: so glad to have you back, dear friend.
The flowers on the cd, the warm heart of a kindred spirit, that never-aging how-could-one-forget soprano. The deep humanity and universality, too.
By the time the first spin of this cd was through, a 6 or 7 lyric file had been compiled.

Here, amidst all the useless political squabble over our handkerchief-sized Belgium, we've never ceased to find truth in your words ever since the sixties, driving 'the Old Dixie down', strumming along to your Dylan tunes or 'putting the load right on me myself and I'.
An ode to that fragile planet and that precious inner peace that our kind has been craving for for so long, a ... Read More:

I have just got the box set recently, and have been enjoying it greatly. Not just that, my three daughters aged 9, 6 and 2 are great fans, and want to listen to it all the time in the car. And the two-year-old even says 'Rock' once she hears the first few bars of 'We will rock you'. Just goes on to show that Queen truly made ageless music, which still scores far above most contemporary music.

This album has everything I love about Folds' music - it's witty, sarcastic and acerbic, but when you least expect it - after tracks matching that description such as Hiroshima, Free Coffee, Dr Yang - out of nowhere comes Cologne, which is a little more 'Songs for Silverman' and delivers like an emotional blow to the chest.

I love Ben Folds, and 'Way to Normal' shows why you should, too.

To me this set of eleven songs seems like This Is The Life - a deserving worldwide hit, with six million YouTube views at the time of writing - and ten charming variations. Collectively, they just about pull their weight, and occasionally get close to genius (e.g. 'Poison Prince', in my humble opinion). I very much hope we will see one or two more big ideas in the second album.

I have this CD on constant repeat! The music is so varied but holds your attention every step of the way. Bocelli's voice is one you just have to fall in love with. His "Romanza" is 1 of my favourites but "Vivo Per Lei" has me hooked also. GET THIS CD!!!!!!

This is the third album by the Jonas Brothers, and it definately does not dissapoint. All the tracks are extremely diverse, from the guitar laden openers "BB Good" and "Burnin' Up", to the slow-tempo closer "When You Look Me In The Eyes". Even the bonus track "Live To Party" introduces new sounds. Not one song sounds the same, and the range of influences and sounds is so eclectic that you'll find yourself listening to this album over and over again without getting bored at all.

It's definately an album to buy!!

I love this album. Ever since i bought it iv been driving my family and friends crazy singing all the catchy songs. As a big busted fan i think it is a very good pop/rock album. I would recommend it to anyone, the jonas brothers are more than just some "disney popcorn" and their songs are very well written. One of the best albums i own!

What a little gem this is. One wonders if anyone who isn't already a fan of Emiliana Torrini will even look at this album, but if they do, they'll be in for a new experience.

It's not too short. It's not too long. In 12 songs, Emiliana goes from catchy pop (Big Jumps) to outrageously fun rock (Jungle Drum), with dips into dark, moody moments (Gun) and several delightful ballads. There's a little bit of everything here. Even existing fans will be surprised, because it's not really like either of her previous (internationally released) albums. Love In The Time of Science was her trip hop album, while Fisherman's Woman was so laid back, it was horizontal.

Me and Armini is another fabulous release from a sadly underrated and little heard-of songstress, ... Read More:
