I agree with the presvious review I'm afraid to say. I love the Bourne Trilogy and the soundtracks have been excellent previously, so unless you are looking for a genuine article to add to your collection then visit an online music store and buy the track. It is a good track though!! :o)

For those who are wondering, a tangram is a puzzle made up of different shaped pieces. There, that's out of the way. Tangerine Dream entered a new decade with a new band member, Johannes Schmoelling, a new look and a new sound. After Peter Baumann left the group in 1977, Tangerine Dream had experimented with prog (Cyclone) and had made something of a masterpiece (Force Majeure). However, the line up situation had been a touch turbulent, so some sort of stability was required. I've been listening to artists on ECM for many years and occasionally, just occasionally, I'll come up on something that makes me sit up and take notice. Pat Metheny, Eberhard Weber, Jan Garbarek, Arve Henriksen immediately spring to mind, but not that many piano/ bass/ drums trios. It's a very well trodden path for musicians, and that could be why I was reluctant to give him a listen before. Well, that's been my loss and I'm going to get hold of more asap. The style doesn't get into the oh-so-quite-you-wonder-if-they've-all-gone-home variety, and you won't find yourself waiting with baited breath for the next tinkling cymbal to appear, but it's definitely a relaxing, thoughtful, rewarding and strangely uplifing experience. I use this CD with a class of five and six year olds and it immediately relaxes and calms them They often ask for the music to be on as they say they can work better. They talk very quietly with their neigbour or not at all,the children are focussed on the task in hand and written work is completed more efficiently and accurately then without the music. TAs are amazed by the result. I would definately recommend this CD to teachers and parents.

After reading all the other reviewers intellectual drivel I thought I would just say that if you have never heard a brian eno record then this is a great place to start. The 10 tracks on this cd show exactly why brian eno is one of the greatest british artists of all time. I've owned this on vinyl for 15 years and then on cd for 10 and it sounds as good today as it did when it was first released.

Ah, the wonderful dilemma of choosing a favourite BOC recording remains, despite Geogaddi's best efforts. On the whole, this just sneaks past Music Has The Right To Children for me, but based on number of plays, and considerably way ahead of The Campfire Headphase - which I still have not got used to. It would be quite a task to describe individual tracks for they are numerous and of such varying length. Further, Geogaddi is a near seamless cohesive journey. BOC prove they are master-craftsmen in the electronica genre here, but don't expect too much by way of 'mood-music', this is not really an emotional ride but an extraordinary and exciting journey helped along by some wonderful samples - none more so than the 'geology lecture' of subterranean sea-mounts. ... This, I assume, is a sister album to Eno and Fripp's 'Evening Star',and a continuation of their collaboration begun on 1975's 'No Pussyfooting'. In my opinion,we have two of music's most gifted and original people here,and an album with the two of them is always going to be interesting.This doesn't disappoint,lovely ambient textures with Fripp's amazing sounding guitar seemingly endlessly sustained over the top,modulating weirdly from time to time,but always hypnotic. Percussion and rhythm do creep into the music a little later in the album,but generally it is a mellow affair,perfect for chilling out with a loved one or what you will. ;Someone once said to me that their favourite Cocteau Twins song was always the one they were listening to at the time which is pretty succinct and effective way of surmising how special this band are /were. This CD caught my eye sitting on a shelf as it has such a beautiful album sleeve. I picked it up purely because it looked good, bought it because of the nice cover. Now from past exerience I can say that impulse buys like this are generally regrettable, but I have not stopped listening to this CD since I got it. Easily my album of the year, it has everything and spans across so many types of moods and genres. It has the amazing ability to chill you out, get you worked up, uplift you and break your heart all at the same time. Now im generally not a fan of chillout music, I can't concentrate long enough and get bored! By 1982, Tangerine Dream had restored their reputation somewhat with this line up of Edgar Froese, Chris Franke and Johannes Schmoelling. They had recorded two successful albums with 'Tangram' and 'Exit'. They had also enjoyed another well received soundtrack album, this time for the Michael Mann directed, James Caan starring heist movie, 'Thief'. Tangerine Dream were back in big demand. 'White Eagle' showed the band returning to their old experimental ways. The album opens with a twenty minute epic, 'Mojave Plan'. It's a fantastic piece, split into three or four different sections with a driving rhythm throughout the track, giving it an almost industrial, machine like feel.
