Holy cow! This has to be one of the better Acid Mothers Temple releases I've ever heard and that's saying something. 'IAO Chant' is AMT's homage / tribute to the late Gong drummer, Pierre Morlen; 1952-2005. Don't assume just because you get one track here "OM Riff From The Cosmic Inferno" (51:25) that this CD is in anyway of a let down. Because it most certainly is not. This lengthy piece is SO purely psychedelic it makes my brain hurt. Glad these guys didn't merely repeat the "OM Riff" over and over. Turns out the epic develops into some creative superb shapes, sound passages and segments. You'll hear what I mean. Highly recommended.

Music : In Concert: India's Most Distinguished Musician in Concert
This 1962 'World Pacific' release is an excellent quality recording of a 1961 concert featuring sitar maestro Ravi Shankar. His accompaniment is provided by Kanai Dulta (tabla) and Nodu Mullick (tamboura). The album contains two long Indian classical ragas (over 20 minutes each) ('Madhuvanti' and 'Dhun in Mishra Mand) that both contain the elements of Shankar's best work - full of energy, spiritual, thought-provoking, uplifting music that speaks volumes without words - sounds you can truly relax, contemplate and drift away to in tranquil splendour....

The improvised (for the most part) interplay between the sitar and tabla is truly amazing to say the least..aside from the 'otherworldly' sitar playing, it's a real pleasure to hear the ... Read More:

159.This Sentence Is True by: Sheila Chandra
May 14, 2001
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
Music : This Sentence Is True
Sheila Chandra has one of the most beautiful and versatile voices recording at the moment. This is a must for all those familiar with her work (and all those who should be). Much is as it was on the Real World Trilogy, but pushed even further, vocal experimentation fused with "kicking" instrumentals. There is also a 7th "ABoneCroneDrone" - Superb.

160.Sai-So by: Kodo
June 03, 2002
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
Music : Sai-So
This album retains the earthiness of the kodo drumming group and builds the rhythmns contained into a heady, trancey mix.If you don't get the sound of the drum then this will be wasted on you. However, cranked up this makes great work out music.Once you get under its spell you even find yourself joining in with the spontaneous shouts from kodo who were probably sweating considerable more than you when they made this!
You would not play this in your car or over dinner but there are times when this music hits the spot. Try it and play loud.
