Not only is one aware that of the fact that one is listening to one of the greatest collections of musical talent ever assembled, but with headphones on one can hear ALL of them, distinctly. Tom Ruff's digital remastering of this album is spectacular - it's hard to believe that this is a fifty year old recording. Often purchasing Charlie Parker music can be a risky business for the uninitiated (some of it is sub-bootleg quality) but you need have no such fear here. Enjoy!

This album is just so much fun - you can tell they enjoyed recording it together. The tracks (especially the title track) just put you in the right mood. This is an 'equally matched' album in the sense that they all (including Wynton Kelly and Art Blakey) get their fair share of the limelight with fantastic solos. A real 'feelgood' top quality album.
