This audiobook consists of two CDs. The first is the author talking about meditation, and this CD is wonderful to listen to. He has a really nice voice to listen to and talks as if he is just talking to you alone. He makes if feel as if Meditation is available to everyone, and anyone can do this, which is true, but so helpful to a beginner to be reassured that it is within their reach. The second CD is a set of progressive meditations, quite short, but each one taking you a stage further on. I found them really helpful to work through, as it got me to a stage where I could continue alone. I am a beginner at this but have found this audiobook very helpful and I do actually find it works. This album is a rarity in modern soundtracks - it doesn't incorporate any "inspired by" tracks in place of the music from the film that made you buy the album in the first place. Bill Conti's music is cool and classy, blends of soulful jazz, carribean music and lounge style tunes. It also includes original recordings of "sinnerman" by Nina Simone - a masterpiece in its own right, and Sting's version of "windmills of my mind" which is an intelligent revisioning of the 1960s original. This is the sort of album one could play at a dinner party or quietly with a glass of single malt. 'The count' really seems to divide people into love or loathe camps, so you really shouldn't buy this unless you've heard him and fall into the former category. It's hard to pin down exactly why he is so funny, and like 'League of Gentlemen' or 'I'm sorry I haven't a clue', you'll either 'get it' or you won't. Personally, he makes me laugh like a slithering giberate, blithering sibarate, erm, simpering celebate, oh for pitty's sake, you know what I mean!!!

Don't think, just buy. Had this for ages listened to it thousands of times. Also it's priceless just play the first track LOUD to any unsuspecting victim.

This is an amazing album even if you have never heard of One Tree Hill, although those that have will certainly appreciate the emotion of the songs. Some stand out tracks include When The Stars Go Blue, it is truly an amazing cover, i only wish there was the other Bethany Joy Lenz songs on this album. Also good is Glad by Tyler Hilton and i love The Good Kind by the Wreckers. Sheryl Crow's accoustic 'First Cut' is definately a skip to moment. This soundtrack will help fans remember so good moments of the series and possibly encourage people to watch One Tree Hill as the music is as key as the characters and writers.

A good musical score is can what often make a good film excellent, as is the case with Master and Commander. The soundtrack is classical but not stuffy, energetic without being intrusive. In other words, just excellent. If you enjoyed the film then it is a certainty that you will love the score.

All the others seem lame in comparison (which they aren't), like Charlie Chaplins WW1 films - an ariadne's thread for all his other ideas. If you haven't listened to the Primary Phase, don't just watch the film or read the book - it is essential that you try it on CD, as it was ground breaking in its time, and still flawless in the present. All in all, this is an essential audio book, which has had profound effects on popular culture and is a Bible for anyone seeking to make headway (while avoiding cliche) in sci-fi, comedy or any pop culture field.
