How wonderful that Andrea has left the "Vegas type" songs behind!! This album is superb and we listened to it 3 times in succession before stopping. Every song (old & new to us) was up to the high standard we expect and love to hear. These are the type of popular semi-operatic songs that Andrea can sing so much better than old Englebert hits!

As a listener of ALL types of quality music from rock to classical.I was looking to buy an ALED JONES cd to chill out a bit as his voice is so amazing.So the obvious choice as I am not familiar with all his songs was to look for a Best of Aled Jones.I would like to thank the two reviewers Susie Veale and Gus Thomas for there positive comments which made me decide to buy the cd.The beautifull music on this QUALITY CD is amazing,anyone who has took the bother to look at this CD should purchase it as you certainly won't be disapointed

The Carpenters are surely one of those romantic must haves in your record collection? If you want to buy a really good comprehensive collection of songs by the Carpenters on one CD, this one makes a bucket load of sense. Kind of hush, Interplanetary Craft, Solitaire, Yesterday once more,Close to you, Jambalaya and many more, they are all here. The Carpenters were always lovely to listen to, and won many fans at the time and later. The fact that they were so prolific too, was amazing. Most of the songs here were played to death and were often high up in the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. The fact that so many good ones are on here makes this album well worth buying. This is just what Christmas should be about, a good ol sing along. Great Songs and performances. Would recomend to anyone.

I've always loved the Bachelors and grew up listening to their music, dad was always playing them...of course I had a crush on them, after all they were two great looking blokes from Ireland with superb voices. It's a great CD with all my favourite songs and makes for wonderful lazy Sunday morning listening. Just to sing along with none of the hissing and static that used to go with vinal records is a bonus as well. If you are a fan of the Bachelors then buy this CD I can promise you won't be disappointed. Just listening to Marta...wonderful,hmmmm!!, happy memories.

I very rarely buy cast recordings of entire shows, as there are usually only one or two songs on them that I like. So I have been waiting for a compilation album that would have on it the songs I like, and unlike other reviewers I was not dissapointed with this.

Reading Buble reviews are a paradox in that die hard fans rave about him (and get `useful review' votes from other die hard fans) while other more critical reviews get slammed. How about an attempt at objectivity? Buble is a wonderful vocalist, but there honestly is no musical originality here. If you are seeking music for a dash of innovation or emotion - or anything I can think of really - Buble really cannot deliver it. It is the culinary equivalent of an excellent drink of water - perfect every way, but without any describable qualities. I last heard this playing in an airport lounge - and that really says it all. This is perfectly acceptable background music which you will probably hear in US convention centers or in Blackpool at a middle aged party ... Read More:
