'Tusk' is undoubtedly one of the most under-rated albums in rock. IMHO many of Lindsey's spiky experimental pieces are utterly forgettable in their own right, but they make an effective contrast with the more melodic offerings of Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie. Nicks' 'Storms' in particular is intimate and beautiful, while McVie's 'Brown Eyes' is similarly haunting. The bonus tracks are mostly of workshop standard and added nothing to my appreciation of the artistry underpinning the album or of Fleetwood Mac's situation during the recording sessions.

This is a wonderful album. It marked Clapton's sobriety following his heroin usage, and has a theme of redemption and rebirth running through it. Also, there's a strong taste of someone who has turned himself inside and out. In places, this is passionate, elsewhere playful, and in many places you can hear a man asking himself what he has left. Fantastic stuff, strongly recommended.

Re-mastered a classic music CD and it sounds soooooo good its like honey to the ears, just less sticky

Later albums I found boring I was never a great fan, but this album is different, apart from "Sultans of Swing' which has been done to death i like very track especially "Six Blade Knife' I would recommend this album as a classic for your collection.

Tull always had three main musical styles in the 1970s - hard electric rock (albeit rather quirky), long, complex progresive rock pieces, and more folk-influenced acoustic pieces. This album showcases the latter mainly, although there are a few moments of blistering electric guitar work from Martin Barre on the odd track. The album seems to have captured this Tull line-up (arguably the best of all time) at their musical zenith, and Ian's songwriting skills are displayed in fine form as well (his voice is great as well). The band on this record are just so tight in their performance, yet still quirky and original. From beginning to end, this is quintessential Jethro Tull - quirky, folksy, rocky at times, honest, unique. Each track has its moments and bears repeated listening. While some 80s Tull may sound ... There is nothing I can add to what has been said before. I will admit that while I listened to radio 2 in the 70's-thanks mum & dad!- before I moved towards Joy Division & The Banshees I listened to your choice of music and I am extremely grateful for it. "Daylight Katy" and "Sundown" are songs that stick with me now in middle-age as when I was young. Bob Dylan was an icon for a generation but Mr Lightfoot caught my imagination when I was a nipper-listen to "If You Could Read My Mind" and tell me that Dylan wrote anything better and I would beg to differ....

Beautiful recordings from this masterpiece live session at Fillmore east. Duane is something out of this world - and the others aren't far behind. I place Duane Allman up there with Peter Green and Hendrix, what a player! If you like Rock, Blues/Rock then this is for you, Clapton who??

Having bought the single way back in the 70's when it was first released and heard what seemed the fashionable comment at the time that "some records were too good for the charts" I wanted to buy the album when funds permitted. No disappointments - this is a classic that doesn't waste a track. Different in style to other albums that Joan Baez has done but more than worth hearing and at a fantastic price. This album marked a change for Rush and the world in general as we moved into the '80's. I wasn't a fan at first after being brought up on 2112 and Hemispheres, but the years have mellowed me. I think it is probably the last Album that Rush made that I can still listen to after nearly 30 years. When Signals came out in '82 I nearly cried. Buy it and reminisce over simpler times...
