I am so excited about this album!!!!! I heard some of the songs on myspace and is sounds AMAZING!! The new tracks sound sooo good! I love the single! You have to buy this album, it will blow you away!

This is more of a warning than a review. Basically, every track on the album has two seconds of silence at the end, including the first track "Prelude" which should seamlessly merge into "Slam". Other than this one instance it isn't that annoying, but if that kind of thing would irritate you, you may be better off looking for the original version of the album, which was mixed properly: Hold Your Colour If you are looking to put the album on a computer or portable media player (iPod, etc.) there are workarounds for this. Once you have bought and ripped the album to your computer, either download a replacement copy of "Prelude" from the original, or edit the track yourself using a program like Audacity. This an amzing album. Although it is not released you can hear most of the songs on youtube. I DONT CARE IS AMAZING and so is HEADFIRSTSLIDE INTO COOPERSTOWN.

No, not Dark Side of the Moon or The Wall, this is Pink Floyd's greatest work. Only 4 songs (one split in two) but they're absolutely sublime. Shine On You Crazy Diamond is an amazing song and, I think, the Floyd's longest, Welcome to the Machine is eerie but compulsively listenable, Wish You Were Here one of their most gorgeous songs, and Have a Cigar is very underrated, in fact one of my favourite tracks and a nice change of style, without which the album might have felt a bit too heavy. You have to listen to the album in one sitting to truly appreciate it, and it's a hugely rewarding experience with not a duff second on it. And the ending of the album is truly gorgeous, possibly the best ending to an album ever. Absolutely essential listening.

I received this great CD for Christmas 2007. I'd never really listened to any of their CDs before, and only ever heard and reconized "Don't Stop Me Now" a few times. But now I am crazy about them and their music: it's so cool and catchy! All the songs are brilliant! You should definetly buy this! It is FAB! And if you don't atleast like them now, you will after listening to this!

So Universal cash in on ABBA by releasing all their eight studio albums + another featuring some rare out takes. Why? Well it's to cash in on the huge success of Mamma Mia The Movie. And before you ask, yes there is more to ABBA than just ABBA Gold! Having been a fan since they won the Eurovision Song Contest back in 74, I used to anxiously await each new release with much excitement and I was never disapointed! These 9 cd's covering the groups entire output, are offered at a bargain price so this is an excellent reason to buy this set. A real chance to listen to each of their albums in full. Seven Lives Many Facesyet again another great album from Enigma,awsome cd a few riffs from the past and some great new stuff as well ,head phones a must,fav tracks 4and 9 but all great .

I bought the special edition with the book, DVD, CDs with outtakes, auditions, missing pieces etc. But I also wanted to hear The War Of The Worlds in ultra high quality SACD. Well, I feel let down. The quiet parts get cut, e.g. echoes pop in and out. It seems the recording engineer has cut all sound below a certain level from the mix tapes. Going back to my original CD version, there is certainly more noise but there is also a hell of lot more depth to the sound. Playing them side by side, I hear a complete change in the mixes right the way through. I noticed that the vocals of the SACD are muted by comparison to the CD version. This is not what SACD is about, this recording sounds like an early 80s digital recording, very reminiscent ... Read More:
