Before buying this album, I was familiar with the 'big' songs from it, however after a few listens i have come to appreciate the true raw talent behind it; suffice to say im very happy with the purchase!! the case was delivered with a crack however, which is not the first time from Amazon to me.

As I listen to this I'm driving to the Brecon Jazz festival. Here the jazz can range from heavy to funky but one pub there plays rock and blues all weekend in the face of all that jazz. This album make me feel like I'm there already - foot tapping, hip sswinging, real funky rocking blues. Brilliant!

I just want to add my voice to the crowd: Bonamassa is more than you expect. I have bought all his records now, and there is no disappointment, I am very very impressed with him: good voice, massive sound, an amazing knowledge of the classics of blues and rock, and a style of his own who can also perfectly emulate the great names when needed. He is fulfilling expectations coming from the hype around him. HE DESERVES IT. I have not been impressed as much with someone since Stevie Ray played Texas Flood in my ears many years ago. MUST HAVE FOR ALL BLUES FANS!! Not only this CD! ALL OF THEM !!!

My son knowing I am and always will be a huge Clapton fan, bought this for my last birthday (I don't mean my LAST bithday, I am hoping to have many more!) I would not have gone and purchased this myself, as within my CD collection I have all of these tracks and could have made up this compilation myself. Having said that it is a good collection (how many Clapton collections have there been over the years?). The two discs represent a reasonable selection of the mans work, although I would have liked some of his early stuff with John Mayall and even The Yardbirds, perhaps Blind Faith, just to round the collection out. Like the last reviewer, and many, many others, The Blues Brothers was a film I first watched when I was about 10 and it introduced me to a whole new world of music. This soundtrack was the first record I ever owned and it is where I first heard a lot of artists that I may otherwise never of heard of, since I had only really listened to pop and ska before. This is a great collection and younger people especially will find it it very educational. If you enjoy the soundtrack it would also be a good idea to look up some of the other artists featured in the film but not on the soundtrack, like Sam and Dave and John Lee Hooker. A fun film and a fun soundtrack, try the other Blues Brothers recordings too, you won't regret it!

Where is 'Greeny'? I just can't believe it. The most stunning, emotional bluesy Peter Green song and it is not on this otherwise brilliant album. I now have to dig deeper and purchase the double CD version which is quite a bit more expensive just for this one track alone. Why, oh why, oh why?

my personal Zep favourite....and then you get the rest of this excellent double album for free, what a bargain!!! I bought the original vinyl on the day of release and even now, over 30 years on, I still pick it out of the rack (now on cd) anytime I require a blast of musical genius.

I am 17 year old and i'm a massive fan of heavy metal, I love most types of music from Heavy Metal to Blues to abit of Indie to Instrumental rock and all types of rock from 60s 70s and 80s. 2 of my friends who have similar taste in music as me really like Eric Clapton so I checked his greatest hits and that was brilliant. Then I decided to start my Cream selection and bought this and i love it. This awesome rock/blues album was made famous by the song Sunshine Of Your Love, which is a brilliant song but there is more to this album then that song. The best song for me here is World Of Pain it's amazing and the vocals on this album are brilliant. In conclusion, this album is brilliant and should any music lovers collection whatever music you like buy it.

I'm not particularly a Stones fan, but this is a suberb collection...... just about the whole album is quality, a must for any music lover.
