This album is dominated by traditional Christmas carols, of which Good King Wenceslas, I saw three ships and Coventry carol may be better known in Britain than America. In her own liner notes, Melanie says that she originally only knew bits of some of the carols she recorded and had to do a lot of research to become familiar with them before recording them. Roomful of Blues play like demons all the way through, swing like the clappers and give out a great vibe. Buy and enjoy. Its just too damn short.
